I have been scouring the web, and mostly the bible for ways I may redeem myself to the lord to reach the eternal heavens. In a society that is not majorly surrounded by athiests, and non-believers in Christianity, and other faiths, it can be rather complicated to interpret, and even connect with a religion that you were raised on since Birth.

I am hoping to start chatting, reading, and sharing some of my debatable, and iconic point of view on the Religion, and get answers to questions to better assist me in understanding Christianity as a whole, so that I can reach the Salvation of God, and find repentance for any possible 'sins' I may have obliviously committed.

Hi; good to see you; God bless His Word to you. John chapter 3 and John's First Epistle contain wonderful explanations of God's salvation through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans chapters 3 and 5 tell how the believer is reckoned to be just in the sight of God, through faith in God's Son.

God bless your reading! :)

Hello faroukfarouk, thanks for your reply, and god bless you. This my goal. I would really want to reach the heavens. There are unfortunately so many people on this globe that have not be enlightened by the word of God, and that really is disappointing. Hope they can be blessed by the spirit of the Lord, and may one day come to the conclusion of his pure existence.

The very fact that you are searching proves that God is speaking to you. Be still and KNOW that HE is GOD... His salvation is very easy to obtain, though the price for Jesus was the highest! We can do nothing to obtain this salvation EXCEPT to ask God for it... believe that Jesus paid the price, ask God to forgive you because of your wrongs, and then ACCEPT His gift of salvation.

Blessings to you @CuriousChristian101. You cannot redeem yourself; no person can redeem himself. That is the whole point of Christianity. Christianity is the good news that Jesus came into the world to redeem us (pay our sin debt) Himself! He did that by giving His life for us (dying in our place). Read John 3:16.

Just pray to Him (even say it out loud) and tell Him that you know you have sinned, and you want to repent (turn away from sin). Ask Him to forgive you and show you how to follow Him. If you have prayed honestly from your heart, He will put His Holy Spirit in you and show you how to live a new life in Him! Yes, He made it that simple to come to Him because He loves you so much! Once you give yourself to Him, your job is to keep believing Him and obey Him.

I am praying for you.

Remember what Peter said when his faith weakened as he was walking on water —”Jesus, save me”....simple as that...see Romans10:13
