My cousin Rachael is prego for the second time with the same dead beat who won't pay child support for the first one.

What should I be doing for her that would help?

Are there any government programs that anyone knows about?

She can hardly take care of herself and now she has to take care of a one year old and herself better than she knows how. I want to give her tough love but I don't know how. I guess you all get the point.

Thanks
God Bless

Giving her tough love would go along the lines of just letting her suffer the consequences on her own, but it sounds like you care about her and she might benefit from someone showing her love and compassion/mercy in this situation.... like "even though you made a stupid decision and got pregnant again, I'm not abandoning you, I care".... I think it is a good idea to point her in the right direction of where she could find some help... unfortunately I don't know that direction to point you because I've never taken advantage of those programs.

Here's a sample of one state's Wic program. She should really be encouraged to take advantage of it.

Texas
California

For your state, type "wic your state" in your search bar and you should get the state dept. of welfare website.

Nothing wrong with offering help.
