CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well if you don't like Religion then Jesus is perfect for you.

For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
In an older Bible I had the phrase was pharisees and religious leaders.
Mathew 15:9
But in vain they do worship me, teaching [for] doctrines the commandments of men.
Mathew 7:22-23
Many will say to me in that day, lord lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name have done many wonderful works. And I will profess unto them I never knew you, depart from me ye that work iniquity.
Seek to develop a personal relationship with the Living God and Living Christ, then perhaps you could go to any church if you'd like, to experience some fellowship and worship in your own way. You do not need to be bound by the traditions of men, for look at how many denominations they are, yet there is but one body in Christ. God is interested in who we are, our hearts, and how we treat others, not how well we can sing in the choir, or how we can pray before others. These things are just the way we express ourselves.

"As you measure it shall be measured you." Here Jesus teaches quantum reality. That our measurement actually influences the outcome. As well as Karma, reap and sow.
I'm not going to dispute what you say, for onto your life it is true. It is the belief with which you have measured and has influenced the outcome. Then there are those of us who have made that leap of faith and made enough progress to have genuine spiritual experiences. If you ever saw a demon, you might think twice about appealing to a higher power.
The Bible is full of references that support God's generally reflective attitude. Those who are embarassed of Jesus he will be embarassed of them. Those who live by the sword must die by the sword. Those who depart from God, God departs from them.
In short, God generally does not reveal himself to those not looking for him.

What do you mean by "religion"? Believing in a God?
Do you mean that believing in a God sounds like an interesting idea, but you find it hard to believe in His existence? Or did you mean something else?
