BarbB said:Don't get me wrong - I love John Hagee. He has a huge heart for Israel. Wins me over every time.
And there's a reason that no one knows the day nor the hour. We do know the season, though and we'd better be heads-up!
BenAdam said:Well Lismore, if he did say you were not a Christian, you should report it. And Mike, you should report any posts that you believe are outside the rules as well.
Do you believe that I am neglecting my duties?MikeMcK said:Yes, tell him to please feel free to show where I've said that he isn't a Christian. I know for a fact that I never have and I challenge him to report me for doing so.
As for me reporting posts, I've reported several and not a thing has been done about them.
Interesting that three posters here have let me know about a new message board started by former CF posters who were fed up with the mods abusing/neglecting their duties.
What was that thing you guys told me about when three people accuse you of doing something?

Well Mike, I sincerely apologize. I do not have the latitude to do that in this forum. I have thought about requesting a move to the Ecumenical team because I spend so much time here.MikeMcK said:I think that, as a mod, you might have spoken up about the crap that's being thrown on me in this thread.
Like I said, I don't even bother anymore because I know that nothing's going to happen. Judging by the fact that several posters with the same concerns have started a new message board, evidently, I'm not the only one who doesn't trust the mods here.
Also, like I said, my challenge to lismore to report me for saying that he isn't a Christian is still on the table.
Yes. You forgot to wash my car and trim the bushes out by the street again.
BTW, where's my lunch?

lismore said:Now, as to the importance of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I would say that if Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit and he did, then receiving the Holy Spirit must be pretty important. As essential for the empowered Christian life?
bstow said:If Jesus told the apostles to wait on this gift before starting to "preach the Gospel" this means that (ok, here is the flame statement) that no minister should be preaching without the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
And yes, the evidence of speaking in tongues.
MikeMcK said:Yes, tell him to please feel free to show where I've said that he isn't a Christian. I know for a fact that I never have and I challenge him to report me for doing so.
MikeMcK said:OK. Now that we've established that Lismore doesn't know what is meant by "essentials of the faith", do you?
lismore said:No flames from me there. I agree with you and I believe the scriptures do as well. Look at Micah:
Micah 3:
7 The seers will be ashamed
and the diviners disgraced.
They will all cover their faces
because there is no answer from God."
8 But as for me, I am filled with power,
with the Spirit of the LORD,
and with justice and might,
to declare to Jacob his transgression,
to Israel his sin.
The empowerment of the Spirit makes all the difference.
franky67 said:Hi, Liz, Just wanted to say I believe Mike was saying that hebrews 6:2 was referring to water baptism only, and not to the baptism with the holy Spirit.
I disagree with him , because in the Gospels, John the baptist says that he baptizes with water, but one is coming who will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire, and that word "baptize" used twice in the same verse, is the very same greek word.
?
franky67 said:By the way, I ask Mike earlier what he had against Hagee, and he said he already answered that, do you know where it is ?
