I can't wait until the whole Covid thing is over, so I don't have to see people getting shots and swabbed. It seems to be in every news cast, why they need to focus in on the shots and swabs I don't know. I just close my eyes until it is over!
(Note: in keeping with this forum rules the photos are from these news stories HERE and HERE.)

I don't see those images, but I guess that's because I don't have cable TV and avoid most major media outlets, lol. I used to HATE it when flu season rolled around and every evening, every single news station had a story about flu shots, and they just couldn't talk about it without giving us SUPER, DUPER CLEAR CLOSE UPS of needles being jammed into arms. *shudders*

As a side and to make you close your eyes a bit tighter, those swabs are FAR from painless. They get right up there between your eyes, or worse. A little too close to the gray matter for comfort, IMO.

What's a pre-bandaid?

They put that on you, and then inject through it into your skin, it rather then inject into your skin then make you stand for a minute while they get a bandaid out.

I don't know, maybe I had a super smart nurse or something but I didn't find the tests bad like everyone else has said. People I know included.
Maybe because I live with pain, my threshold is different, I only felt a very slight discomfort.
Also it was at a hospital and I and the nurse was standing up.
I think if you're in a car and they have to lean in, they do it at an angle which may make it harder and more uncomfortable.
Regardless its pretty quick and worth it to have it done.

However I don't actually want to see people getting it or worse close ups of people getting needles when they talk of vaccines; which is all the time!

I did the spit test, it was hilariously ridiculous. (Results in 3-5 days rendering the result almost useless if I actually had significant symptoms) The CVS near me offers the nose test but instead of someone jamming a swab up the nose you do it yourself.
