Ok what is going on with me? I shall tell you but first I tell you a story of great friend I have at my latin dance class. The friend let's call him Austin Powers because well...he is a Chinese version of Austin Powers himself. He doesn't dress like Austin Powers nor does he say "do I make you horny baby" so no he's not creepy. I would say he's quite timid but very polite person who's trying to find a way to feel good about himself and I as I am describing this "Austin" I realise I am his only friend in our dance school.

Last Saturday at the salsa practica (it's like a party organised by our dance school), "Austin" was asking for some ladies for a dance - he asked a "Hannah" who is quite a pretty and confient woman but she turned "Austin" down, and he politely says no problem then he turns his attention to a group of ladies nearby and he politely asks them for a dance but no the ladies hesitate then reject his offer. And "Austin" moves on but as he walked away the ladies were laughing behind his back shaking their heads. That got my blood boiling! There is nothing funny of a guy being a real man taking the courage to socialise with a woman!

I felt it was immature and disrepectful for those women to laugh at him. And what was worse shortly after rejecting "Austin" they accept a dance with a much more attractive guy. I felt so mad that I went to the bathroom to cool myself down. But neverthless I felt sorry for "Austin"....he's a cool person to hang out with I felt very disgusted by their behaviour. What's kinda of sad is that those women do not see that "Austin" was probably facing his own fears and showing alot of guts to even ask those morons for a dance.

Ladies if a guy asks you for a dance or asks you out and you reject them - DON'T LAUGH AT THEM! You're just sinking lower

That is so stupid. Some people are so insecure that the only way they feel even a little bit better about their own miserable selves is when they push someone else down. At least "Austin" didn't get their stupid mean cooties.

Sounds like your friend Austin was too good for the women in question any way.

The real Austin Powers was a total babe magnet!

I do understand your frustrations. It is very immature and rude to be disrespectful and condescending when someone works up the courage to even ask for a dance. If you aren't interested, then politely so no thank you and move on. But to be rude and laugh at the guy is crossing the line.

I think the best revenge is if I give them cheeseburgers and that way they will become fat and hence no one would want to dance with them anymore

*laughs evilly*
I vote that. Totally!

no my friend, two wrongs do not a right make.... what is this middle school?

your CF thing says your 25.... act it......

yes they were immature, but you need not sink down to their level.....

instead, if they ever ask you to dance with them.... tell them you are sorry, but your card just got booked solid for the night and will be that way until Austin is apologized to and given half a chance.......

just remember..... They laughed and spat at Jesus before and while they crucified Him, but He didn't strike back though He had the power to slay them all with but one word...... instead He Prayed "Father, Forgive them for they know not what they do" .... let Austin remind you of Jesus because it seems like he just walked off dejected.....

and maybe there was something that happened between Austin and one of the girls in the class you don't know about..... it doesn't excuse their behavior but it might be they weren't laughing at him, but trying to shrug off the nervousness of him approaching them..... as I wasn't there, I can't know that for sure...... and neither can you, as you may have missed something..... unless you and Austin are joined at the hip.....

Coach your right, I shouldn't take to heart, things Jesus said on this like "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" and that kind of stuff or where the Bible says "Vengeance is Mine, I will Repay saith the Lord" or any like passages on the subject........

I need to let things like this slide because after all everyone is entitled to be angry and go overboard and not face a reality check because we want a society of brats and those that seek their own and make their own justice........ yes thank you for that lesson, I Shall take it to heart!

I really need to go to bed, but I gotta say this.

I get really frustrated when people pull the "forgive them, for they know not what they do" card. Christ uttered those words in his obedience to the Father in his death on the cross. He did not fight back because of God's plan, not because he was forbidden to do so.

In fact, He asked the Father to let that cup pass him if at all possible. It simply was not part of the plan.

When the money changers were desecrating the temple, Christ did not merely utter "forgive them" and move on like nothing happened. He fashioned a whip out of vines and drove them physically from the temple. When the pharisees tried to trap him, he often raised his voice, called them names, and gave them a verbal beating.

I am sorry for this rant in this thread. I simply am disgusted by the false image of Christ being portrayed in our culture today. This was touched upon in an earlier thread about how men are bored and leaving the church because the masculine side of Christ and men in general is not being met and Christ is being portrayed as a pacifist and a sissy.

That is terrible, when I was taking swing dancing lessons we were told to never turn down an offer to dance and I never did. The only reason to turn someone down is if you're completely worn out and then you say you'll take a rain check or something.

You should NOT go overboard on a simple joke. There is nothing wrong with being frustrated and ranting. You seem to be uptight today for some reason, which I don't quite understand, but this really seems odd to see you overracting and freaking out today.

The Cup was not the shame of man, it was the Cup of God's Wrath prepared for all Nations poured out fully when God the Father left God the Son at Calvary..... that was the Cup not men, not the Cross, not the nails, not the soldiers, not the whipping, the betrayal of men or the crowds....

Yes there are times to be a man and do manly things, but was Jesus dealing with the world or those who were the so called Religious Elites of the day?

Always read the Bible in Context not pull out verses convenient to your POV for a pwnage moment......

that is why I try to quote only enough Scripture to convey what I am saying on here, not because I don't know it, but because I don't want to misrepresent it and I do not want to let what I quote be twisted around to fit what people are saying.......

I apologize to Alex for hijacking his thread for these few posts but I also needed to say that..... and now back to the thread already in progress......

YOU were the one pulling things out of context. You quoted Christ forgiving those that were killing him when the Father would not let the cup pass, and you equated that to Alex venting about some rude girls and making a joke about giving them burgers.

Anyways, this whole thing is silly.

Alex, I thought the burger joke was downright hilarious. make sure you supersize their fries.... to supersize their thighs!
