I have been getting these letters for years wanting to buy my property….

My suggestion is for them not to hold their breath. All the sudden these letters are increasing from various companies. I do not like it. Is there anyway to get off these mailing lists?

We’ve all heard about China and other foreign entities buying up land here and that’s my suspicion. The letters just keep increasing and it’s just disturbing. We bought all this land and built here and if anyone thinks we are just going to sell it to any old person or company, they got another thing coming!

We don’t get letters but lots of phone calls about that same thing. But we live in a fairly new subdivision so I’m not too worried about it.

We live on quite a bit of property in the woods. Like I said, it isn’t happening. We get lumber places wanting to buy trees but that a totally different thing.

We regularly get the letters wanting to buy our house. (We have for several years now.)

I live in the city, in an older city neighborhood.

In our case here, I strongly suspect someone is wanting to 'buy out' all the houses in our neighborhood for 'some reason' that they aren't being straightforward about. (And we aren't interested in participating, but it does make me wonder what is going on.)

I wish I could snap my fingers and make them forget you and your property exists. From your description they're getting more intrusive and pushy. Don't need these people petitioning government and causing nonsense for you. I hope you can figure out how to get them off your back Michie.

Thank you Michael. I’m going to research this and call the courthouse where I pay my property taxes.
