I got accepted into Nursing school!!! :)

Yay I got accepted into a Texas nursing school, to get my Bachelors of Science in Nursing. I'm excited but I saw our schedule and we have to go to class from 8am - 6pm and also do 12 hour clinical shifts on top of that. So that basically means I'll have no life outside of nursing school.

I would LOVE to be a nurse!!!! I couldn't get into the Science program though. I am taking Bachelor of Arts in Psychology to become an addiction services counsellor.

Your days don't sound as horrid as mine were, but they're still pretty tough. Keep your head on straight, be open-minded and willing to learn, and you'll really enjoy it.

Nursing is a great vocation - it challenges your beliefs, it stimulates your desire for learning, and I never go away from a day without feeling like I've succeeded.
