I thought I was doing good and abstaining from certain sins. I know no one is perfect and we all sin. This week it's been so hard for me and I finally caved into a certain sin yesterday and today. It's stressing me out because it's been a long time since I have done these things. I am really reading a lot of the Bible lately, probably more than I ever have however my prayer has been lacking. When I felt tempted I prayed but I succumbed to the temptation and I feel really sad about it. I asked God for help and I don't know why this is happening to me.

I feel weak and I am so mad for giving in. I need help idk what to do anyone have advice? I asked God, maybe he can use one of you to help me.

After proof reading this, I'm thinking maybe I'm relying too much on myself and focusing too much on works rather than trusting God fully? Idk how do I fully trust and surrender? When I get to the point of being so broke that's when I surrender and God uplifts me but I don't want to have to be like that for me to fully surrender!

Of course, you need to continue to abstain from sin. The problem is when you put off prayer. You will know that you have surrendered to God when you stop depending on your own strength. When we get on a roll of doing the right things, it is easy to forget that we got there because He picked us back up in the first place...yet again. So, continue with the cycle. While your lying flat on your face from having fallen, cry out afresh and your faithful Father, who knows your frame, that you are dust, will establish your steps again. Psalms 103:13-14

We all make mistakes some times you have to see the sin so you can free yourself from it. What I do is look at it go into it see that it isn't really me its not who I really am its just a illusion that I created then I let it go give up that ghost . I imagine its crumpled up then I throw at Jesus sacred heart to burn it up. Then if it comes up again I remember this is going to keep me from God's plan for me that really helps to come apart from it.

I think we all battle against sin in our lives. But you can consistently improve through prayer and reading the word of God and applying it. Maybe look at why you have succumbed to this particular sin? What's going on in your life whereby you're finding it difficult to resist? Just a couple of things to be aware of
You trust and surrender to Him through prayer, reading the word and being a doer of the word. Don't give up on yourself either. The positive is you're aware and you want to do something about it.

One of the keys to transformation into the image of Christ is meditating on His Word.
Take a verse like Ephesians 3:12 and just think about it over and over.
Ask yourself some questions about the verse and answer them.
Find out what boldness and access with confidence means.
Ask yourself why you can boldness.

Then start applying these truths.
