  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I feel so lonely

On Wednesday, I'll be driving back down to my apartment, since school starts on September 3rd. There is so much crap (and heavy stuff, too!) to pack up, put into my car, and then unload into my apartment. Fortunately, I have a cart that will help me with this, but it is still hard work. I will do it by myself. I live in my apartment by myself (my choice, sometimes I wish I had a roommate). I will have to go out and buy a ton of food and cook it myself, of course.

I've prayed before typing this, and I feel a little relief (thank You, Lord), but I'm really not looking forward to starting school again. I want to, but I don't, ya know? This will probably be my last year for a while; I'm not sure about grad school.

 :sigh:

Please pray. I just feel discouraged, and I could use some words of encouragement. It seems like school is starting a half a week early :(.

Thank you.

I am in the same boat, I have to move in 7 day 2000 miles with everything in my car to go back to school. I don't know where I am going to stay yet even, I will be staying a family's house until I can find a place to live. I have 2 more years left tho. I don't want to go either, but I am more looking forward to getting involved with a young adults program and other stuff that life brings.

God bless.

Take care.

Hi, Mr. Malone! Never met you before. I'm involved in Campus Crusade for Christ. We have a lot of fun together. That must be so tough; 2,000 miles away from home. Have you ever done that before? I am only 40 miles away from my parents' house; a miniscule amount as compared to yours. Makes me feel a little selfish. I will pray for you.

psycmajor, You're making me sad. It's times like this that I wish I could reach into my monitor and give you a big hug:hug: But we are all with you in spirit, always remember that. Take us with you wherever you go, keep us in your heart and know that you are never far from our thoughts.

I'll be praying for you, especially on Wed. When will you be able to go back online?

I'll pray for you, I really hope that your situation improves. Just remember to rely on God and He will get you through this. He will never forsake you, let alone in this, your time of need. Try to keep your mind on the positive aspects of College, and that there are many people that are here to help you; with support, answers, most importantly, prayers. Please remember to keep us informed, so we can continue to pray for you and offer any guidance that we can.

Have a safe trip, and a good un-packing, God Bless.

Actually, a friend of mine offered, but I had already renewed the lease. I don't think my parents wanted to be bothered with moving me, anyway, because she and I would have to move somewhere else...

Thanks, guys, I'm feeling better!!

I learned awhile ago, that, I needed to enjoy all of the phases of my life, because inevitably, there comes a phase that will be even harder. find something good in this phase and think on it as much as you can. because this too shall pass, and too many times in our walk, we think, " oh if I could only go back!"  After too many times of wishing that, I decided awhile ago, that I wanted to be the kind of person who looked forward to change, embraced it..change is good if you let it be!

I am praying for you!

I'll be praying for you! Feeling alone is tough sometimes and something I struggle with once in awhile. I just try to remember that God is always with me and try to see what God may be telling me in my alone times. Sometimes I think He gives me those times so that I don't have any other distractions so I have to listen to Him!

I also hope you have a good school year! Enjoy this last year of undergrad school. Before the real fun starts!

psycmajor, I will pray for you.

As you move into your apartment, remember to thank the Lord that you have an apartment to move into. Also thank him for the fact that you have a car to move your stuff with, and even though you will have to fix your own meals, thank the Lord that you have the food to fix a meal with. And when you feel lonely thank him for being there with you, and allowing you some time alone with him, and a allowing to have a quiet place to study.

Sometimes it helps to look at what we do have instead of what we don't. I'm sure you'll make many new friends, once you get settled in. And then it wont seem so lonely.

Will keep you in my prayers.
