Since I've started reading the Bible everyday, I've been feeling God's presence more and more in my life. I am experiencing joy and peace. I actually enjoying reading the Bible and have a hunger to read more. I am not just reading words on the page, but slowly understanding what I read. Like it's a book come alive.

I praise God for what He's doing in my life, but I still feel unsteady. I am not really conservative, but I am not anything goes either. I am right in the middle. I want to continue to grow close to God and obey Him, but I don't want to start thinking that every little thing is wrong.

You are doing fine! Just relax and let God continue to bless you as you read the bible daily. His Word via the Holy Spirit will bring peace in your life. Mainly expect God to grace you and do a work in you. Believe in Him. Trust in Him. Do not expect so much of your self. Learning and walking the Christian life via His Word is a gradual process so sometimes old feelings will come back but stay on course. You will not be disappointed but you can expect changes in your thinking and in what you choose to do and not do. Green lights ahead. Prayers and blessings to you especially during this wonderful season.

Yes, God is pleased when one reads His Word, and the good feelings one feels is part of what God calls: quickening (arousal and awakening to God) --His grace. One needs to remember that "no man cometh unto the Father but by Me", the Lord Jesus said. Put the Lord Jesus first in your life, friend, and the Father will bless you, teach you, and lead you. He cares!

Dear Celticroots. You are doing fine and here is what you can do now, in
Matthew 22: 35-40: Jesus tells us: " The first and great Commandment is:
"Love God with all our hearts, with all our souls, and with all our minds. The second is like it: love our neighbour as we love ourselves." Then in
in verse 4, Jesus tells us this great fact: " on these two Commandments hang all the Law and the prophets." God is Love, and God wants loving sons and daughters. What to do now? In Matthew 7: 7-10: we are told: " ask and you
shall receive," ask God for Love and Joy, then thank God, and share all Love and Joy with your neighbour: all you know and all you meet, friends and not friends. Keep asking God for Love and Joy, then thank God and share all Love and Joy with your neighbour. God will see our loving efforts, and God will approve and bless us. We might stumble and forget at times, but then we ask God to forgive us, and carry on loving and caring.
The Bible tells us to " Repent and be Born Again," to give up all our selfish
wishes and wants, and start loving and caring for our neighbour.
The Holy Spirit will help and guide us, and Jesus our Saviour will lead us all the way: JESUS IS THE WAY. In Luke 10: 25-28: Jesus is asked:
" Master, what must I do to inherit eternal life?" Jesus says: " you know the two Commandments to Love God and love your neighbour? DO THIS AND YOU
SHALL LIVE. I say this with love, Celticroots. Greetings from Emmy, your sister in Christ.
