Over the summer I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I repented of the sins I knew of and I prayed to God each day. Ever since School started my patience has been low and I have started swearing again. I want Jesus back into my life but I am only religious when I'm home alone. Everywhere else I have low patience and get angry a lot. Please pray for me.

The times we seem to fail in our efforts are humble reminders we need the Lord's grace;blessings in disguise.
Pray before those situations, and try to use them as an opportunity to practice the virtues you feel you lack.
Exercising those spiritual muscles strengthens them, and in time, this present concern will be just a memory.

Let St Paul's words be of hope to you; even HE struggled
But the Lord is faithful, and will assist you any time you are in need ~ so keep the faith!
May God continued to bless your spiritual journey

What you are feeling is normal. The fact that you are acknoweledging it is great! It shows you have a heart for God. To be filled with the Holy Spirit is a continual process, not a one time episode. You have to be filled daily, by the Holy Spirit by spending time with God. Through reading your bible and praying. Being around other Christians who also what to stay filled with the Holy Spirit is also very helpful.

I recently accepted Jesus as Lord as well. Swearing has been a battle again lately, and it does seem like a
Challenge sometimes, doesn't it? Especially being around firm non-believers, when we have seen such grace and love... However,... Romans 8:28 And we are conscious that all things are working together for good to those who have love for God, and have been marked out by his purpose. (esv) AND Psalms 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and he takes delight in his way. (esv) Bless you for your post, brother. I thank God that we could know that there are others out there with the same stories and same struggles. Peace be with you, in Jesus' name.

Hi, praying that you'll not be so hard on yourself, and realize that God's grace is sufficient for you, and not achieved by works on our part. Also not to excuse errant behavior; however, we can ask God's forgiveness and hopefully move toward the good. Sometimes it's one step forward, two steps back... but we just have to keep looking ahead, and neither give credence to what's happening in our periphery... here's some scripture that might shed Light on what that means.

"Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil." Proverbs 4:27

Blessings!

Nobdody (as far as I've ever observed or heard about) gets zapped into being a totally good person after salvation. Even Paul was still struggling after his dramatic experience on the road to Damascus. So many mighty saints in the Bible are seen with their feet of clay. What I mean by all that is don't be too discouraged or anything by your imperfections.

In the Bible the Israelites were told when they entered into the Promised Land that "little by little" their enemies would be defeated. This seems to work on the spiritual level also. It is step by step, fumbling and stumbling that we become more and more perfected in Messiah.

Praying that you will be given patience, guidance, healing, and a closer and closer walk with Messiah each year of your life.

Praying along with our brothers and sisters. You are not alone. I am a recovering uber-cusser. I still slip up at times. Peter had the same problem, remember? We just, each time, repent. We will not be perfect, not till the day we pass on fromthis world. Here's what matters.....no matter what, sin and all, ALWAYS take it to our Abba, ALWAYS. That's why God called David, who sinned atrociously, the "apple of His eye"...it's because David returned to His Abba. Be encouraged brother, to do the same. Praying brother. God bless you.

Brother how much are u reading God's Word and meditating on it?

Thine Word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against Thee

The Word of God helps us not to sin so we wont be living in a rebellious state as if we were lost

we need to be rooted and grounded in the Word of God to overcome

will we live perfect sinless lives

No but we want be wallowing in sin as if we were still lost
we will strive daily to live a life pleasing to the Lord

God bless you brother

Hey.... I understand exactly what you are going through. It makes me feel like a hypocrite, the LORD loves you anyway. Dear Lord I ask that you help him have patience and o'Lord just let your will be done in his life and just show him your way o Lord, I pray these things to you Lord, God, Creator of All things, and ask for mercy on us who struggle with the flesh, in Jesus name I pray amen!
