• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Whatever the factors are in your situation right now one that is utterly constant is Father's unconditional acceptance of you. He has you firmly within His embrace, because Jesus and Father made a covenant that includes you, whatever you may stumble into as you learn to grow in Christ. There are times we aren't that aware of God 'being there', but he is nevertheless.

Sounds like whatever situation drifted you away from God is still effecting you. You need to work past whatever created the divide between you and Him. Allow yourself to feel his love and be happy. Forgive yourself and hand over the guilt you have to God as well.

I can tell you from personal experience that God doesn't give up on anyone. I have messed up time and time again. Fallen short of my expectations and of His. Nothing has completely separated me from Him and Nothing will forever separate you from Him. Keep your head up. God is there. It's going to take time and prayer.

I'm praying for you. PM me if you'd like.

1.) "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 8:38-39

- NOTHING can separate you from the love that God has for you. UNCONDITIONAL love. That does not mean...I love you, but terms and conditions may apply, nope.

2.) "I will never leave you, nor forsake you." - Hebrews 13:5

- God is ALWAYS with us whether we feel Him or His love or not. He never leaves.

I know things can be rough, trust me. I know things will be hard because God never promised His children an easy life, He only promised that it would be worth it. Please don't give up hope for a better tomorrow because God promises that one day He will wipe every tear from our eyes. Have faith that, while you don't know when, God keeps His promises.
