I Call Him Frankie

Frankie.

That is his name.

Or -

that is just what I call him.

Do you hear the beautiful birds singing?

Yes Frankie.

They can hear you.

Have you watched the gorgeous sun rise?

Don’t worry Frankie.

They still take time to relax in your presence.

Have you taken time to just smell the air?

The smell of the sea.

The smell of life.

Yes Frankie.

Your scent is with us.

Have you yet smiled -

at this wonderful day?

Silence.

He’s crying.

You made Frankie cry.

its kind of a double meaning. Frankie is like... The birds that are singing, the smells that are in the air, the beautiful sunrise, the gorgeous day. I said "I call him Frankie," that is what I chose to call it. Anyway, the end, you made frankie cry... you weren't thankful for the great day that was given to you... thats basically it... but yeah. I just... I just like personification.

Frankie almost sounds like God. I think God is sad when we don't enjoy what He provides for us.

eh. He can be that too, Frankie can be something different to each person. Several of my poems I like to leave for people to decide their meaning. I mean sure I have a point, but in most, there is something you figure out for yourself.
