A few days ago I believe I lost my faith completley.
Since then a red mark has appeared on the back of my right hand which has grown angrier.
I only thought about stigmata when my friend suggested it jokingly. I looked at my other hand and there is also a red mark appearing there but only faintly.
I do have pictures of them but I cant post images or links to websites until I build my amount of posts.

I am quite concerned.

Ok so how do you think this occurred?
I lost my faith because I was reading a part of the bible i disagreed with completley and noted how hypocritical the bible can actually be.

Now im wondering if God is telling me it is true with stigmata.

Well last time I checked Stigmata isn't in my version of the Bible NASB. I have had problems with stuff in the Bible before, but to me it is a choice that I have made to believe in the whole Bible regardless. So you have made a choice to lose faith. What I have done and do is study historical facts that back up the Bible. There are so many documents outside of the Bible that prove its truth. But no matter what I find in my study I still have made it a choice to believe the Bible in its entirety.

I shall burn in the lake of fire forever.
I shall definatley not inherit the earth.
I shall be put to death.

All for doing perfectly human things.

And then, when I said I do give to charity, it says it is a bad thing and it is not good enough - the one thing out of all of the questions it gives me that I do and helps people dying of foul diseases and feeds them isnt good enough.

Sorry, this link you have given me, it says "do you think you would be guilty when you are judged" and i said "yes" and its like "correct." "will you go to heaven or hell?" "hell." "correct." "does it concern you?" "no." "it should concern you."

Well it looks like I am going to spend the next life in a pit of fire where I will be tortured brutally for eternity. And I am simply not concerned and I damned further because of it.

That test is silly. If you say you don't break any of the commandments I think it says you're lying or something and tells you that you need to accept Jesus and be saved. If you answer that you did break a commandment it tells you that you're damned and that you need to accept Jesus and be saved.

The point they try to make, albeit in a very hellfire and brimstone way, is that every human needs Jesus.

Also, what exactly do you not agree with in the Bible? I hope you're not getting the Old Testaments and New Testaments mixed up or anything (no, we don't stone homosexuals! ;))

some of the rules that were lain down I do not agree with at all and therefore the bible cannot be a guidebook for me.
rules? I suggest reading the book of Romans (especially chapters 6-8). If you are a born again Christian, you should have a Relationship, not rules. While it is true that we should live our lives in a manner pleasing to God, we do not live by rules and regulations. That is religion not TRUE CHRISTIANITY. I will pray for you that God may reveal himself to you (not in some physical "stigmata" which as another person said is not in the Bible, but rather thru your heart and soul) and that you will see His love for you.

I think what you are missing is an understandingof some things...
It sounds as if you are guilty before G-d however that does not concern you... possibly because you believe that hell is unjust and unfair....
Well look at it this way what if Hell exists and was the place of punishment that G-d set up for satan and the fallen angels and was not meant for man (that is why he gave us a way out)... If it exists who should go there? Hitler?... how about if someone raped and murder 50 people and they never caught them, would they go to hell?... well G-ds justice does not stop there Liars, adulterers, thiefs, fornicators, etc......
But he loved you so much that he took the punishment for you so you do not have to....
So as hell should motivate you The Love of Jesus should make you break in 2 and fall and cry that he was willing to go through all he went through so we would be free from hell....
Imagine yourself in a court room and guitly of 10 crimes... you tell the judge "I am sorry", he says you should be (will he let you go? no) you tell the Judge that was all in the past when I was younger and that you have done a lot of good things since then... The judge tells you that that has no bearing on the case, we should be doing good things but that doesnt account for the crimes....
Every argument you have that you try to use to be let go... look at this Good Just Judge and see if truly will just let you go...
He lays out before you a fine a 1 million that needs to be paid or you will be sent to jail.... you have no money and are being lead off to jail, when someone you dont even know comes in and pays the fine for you (that is what Jesus did 2000 years ago)

It's strange how people tend to look at the bible and say 'I don't agree with this' and therefore it must be true for them.

It's foolish to do that because 1. you have blinded yourself and 2. you wanted to be blind.

Friend all of us have broken the commandments. I have, you have, everyone has. This is where the good news comes in. Even though we deserve justice from God who is holy and perfect in every way, He is offering us mercy to be saved. That's His love for us! We are saved and allowed to go into heaven not because we're good people, but because we're bad people who have been forgiven.

Don't use the 'I don't agree with some of the stuff Jesus says' excuse. Why? What are you going to say to God on judgement day?

'Oh God I didn't agree with some of the things the bible said'.

He would probably say. 'What has that got to do with your sin? I commanded you to repent so that you may be saved. Why did you not humble yourself to me? I would have forgiven you of all your sin and you would have been justified. Instead you chose to stiffen your neck against me and now I have no choice but to satisfy justice."

God loves you!:) Can you share some of those rules and things that you disagree with in the Bible? I would like to talk with you more about your decision. You are God's child, you may "feel" like you lost your faith, but, God knows exactly where you are and CARES about how you feel. He will never let you go and will draw you near to Him by getting your attention through other believers in Him and also by showering you with His love and grace to get through this time of learning in your life. :prayer:

The Word of God is His love letter to you... every word, His commandments and living by His Word aren't meant to hurt you, but, to protect you and allow every spiritual blessing from above to pour into your life. Living in His will by following His Word is the only way to go. Every other way is a deadend and leads to destruction. Above all, Jesus stated that if you love me, you will obey my commands (paraphrasing). Do you love Jesus? It is an honor and pleasure to honor God by following His commands and living a holy life. What a privilege it is to know the Lord, love the Lord and be His child. You are a child to the King!

I will pray for you to receive wisdom and guidance during this time. About the "stigmata" that you wrote about, keep your eyes on God, His Word and Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit will guide you, pray, and draw near to God. Everything God does has a purpose and it is for His glory, I don't believe the red marks on your hands that you believe may be the stigmata is from God. What purpose do you believe it serves? I am saying this in the love of Christ to you. You are precious to God, the enemy would love to see you get swept away and be lost, I am not saying what is on your hands is from the enemy but I do believe the enemy is a liar and brings confusion. DON'T LISTEN TO HIS LIES. STAY close to God and pray for the Holy Spirit to help you understand the Word of God.

Attend a spirit-filled Church (if you aren't already) and seek out godly counsel, Pastor, strong women of God to help you understand your doubts and questions. I will pray for that too in your life. God has a destiny for your life, to help you, not harm you.... Read Jeremiah 29:11.
YOU ARE PRECIOUS TO GOD! :amen:

Good post :)

Can I just add something.

Don't let us confirm your salvation. To be honest we can't do that. If we call you saved when you might not be you could be taken away by deception. Don't let us confirm your salvation.

Examine yourself and see if you're in the faith. The amazing gospel that has been offered to you will save you. God wants to save you that's why He went through so much trouble to offer up His Son as a substitute to pay for our sin. Every lie, every time we lusted, every time we blasphemed.

So humble yourself today, get down before God and repent and He will exalt you in due time.

Could be a severe warning when you turn away from God.

Hebrews 6
6 And are fallen away: to be renewed again to penance, crucifying again to themselves the Son of God, and making him a mockery.
