I fully believe that sinners with a sinful nature, do freely do that which is in accordance with their nature. Allow me to re-post the comment which was not addressed to you, to which you have a contention:

"The free will argument reduces sin to....not that bad, to sinful compared to who, something we have within ourselves with the ability to overcome. These notions are contrary to Scripture."

I did not provide nor want to extensive in-depth commentary explaining every detail behind my statement. The free will argument as it is commonly expressed also ends up with free will replacing God on His throne, derailing Him of all the glory which He deserves, and what could be more sinful than that? Now if you'll excuse me from the molehill you made a mountain out of.

My bold. I am left to wonder then exactly how sin then becomes less bad if there were free will. Either you are contradicting yourself or you are expressing yourself extremely poorly. You seem to be saying that free will is more sinful but would make sin less bad. As for your reticence to explain your "not that bad" statement in any manner whatsoever( never mind in depth commentary), as I re read my original post, I do not believe I ever actually requested any response. Certainly I never expected to be given a reading assignment on the general subject of free will when I took exception to a particular remark about a hierarchy of sin i.e. one way of sinning ( sinning if there were free will) being somehow less bad than another way ( sinning because of natural sinfulness).

What I meant in my original statement, is in reference to the Arminian who in denial of of the T of TULIP, of total depravity, as to undermine total inability with the notion that although mankind is sinful, mankind is not so sinful (bad) that he is unable to freely make good spiritual choices. In other words, a denial of total inability makes sin to not be as sinful (in scope or power) as it's described in the bible from which the doctrine of TD is found. As for what might seem like contradiction, it's not, because it's two different "senses" of the idea. One assumes Arminianism, the other assumes Calvinism. Hope that helps clear things up.
