I had a dream a few nights ago that is very different from my usual dreams. It was very vivid, and seems full of symbolism. I told my husband when I woke up, and I never am compelled to describe my dreams, as they are usually quite random and zainy. I believe that any messages we receive will always be confirmed in God's Word. Can anyone help me understand the images in my dream?
In my dream I am roaming the halls of a large building, it is similar to an old school, long halls with many rooms off the halls. It is similar to halls in the basement of a building, old, grungy looking. In the halls are large men, covered with blood and viscous patches of blood, almost like they were just born, but more grotesque. It is understood in the dream that these men have come from a horrible war. They are walking through the halls to different rooms. I remember thinking, "How can they walk? They must be in such pain." In the different rooms are beds with other men in them who are about to die. The bloody men stand by the beds of the dying men and I understand them to be saying goodbye, or paying their respects. I feel small in comparison to the men. I am not afraid of them, but am very disturbed by their appearance. In my hands I am holding white paper. The paper is perfectly white. I remember noting that it is absolutely perfectly white. It is my job to cut triangles out of the paper and give them to the men who are walking around going to the other men about to die. The triangles are cut from a circle in the paper, so that they have the shape of a pie slice. I am going through the halls and rooms doing my task. I also go into a field with tall grass. There are paths through the grass to walk on. It is grey outside, and I am walking the paths through the tall grass looking to give triangles to men who are walking in the field to visit men dying in the field. The question is asked, "what do we do with the triangles" and the answer is "put them on their eyes." Then the dream ends.
