Richard, I simply think you are extremely naive about the kinds of people who would take over if there was anarchy. It doesn't matter what DRO i'm a member of, the people with the guns are going to be the street thugs and the chrsitian dominionists and i'm going to be accountable to them.

If you disagree that globalization has helped poor countries develop, we can start talking about globalization if you want. I have edited my post to include a chart that lists the benefits it has had in east asia.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. It's good to remain as skeptical as possible. I have reason to believe that when there are no barriers to trade, it is beneficial to everyone(globalization). I don't believe that your scenario would be a reality.

i prefer human being personally but if one must give fancy terms:

i'd just consider myself an atheist who is an antitheist as well as an atheist, who holds humanistic and naturalistic views of the world.

socially i'm liberal. politically and economically, i'm not really sure anymore. i'm researching about the schools of thought and then going from there.

I think he meant that only extraordinary evidence would be sufficient for an extraordinary claim. So I don't suppose the two of you must be on opposite sides of the fence.

What is meant by the term "extraordinary evidnce"?

I'll reword it:

A claim the veracity of which suffers a low probability requires an abundance of evidence to justify its assent.

Beliefs are many things..
They can be your religion, or just some thoughts you have about the world and about the people in that world. Your beliefs change every day. Just like everything else in the world. Beliefs can make your life, but they can also break them. Most people are very arrogant about their beliefs. Some say it is sinful ( in biblical terms ) to be with someone who ISN'T A CHRISTIAN. Now, that is a major prejudice. Some people say it could be meaning that anyone who isn't Christian isn't equal to a Christian. Now that would be like racism. Because racism is a term used to classify the act of hating a particular group of people because of skin color, origin, or religion. Therefore, Christians are a race. Judists are a race ( Jewish People), Muslims are a race, ATHEISTS are a race. Atheism is defined by what kind of an atheist you are. A humanist is a atheist who cares for the welfare of people and the morality of human beings. I shall give you an example. Somewhere in the Bible, it says that a Christian cannot marry a person from another belief OTHER than Christianity, or they shall go to hell. That... Is a prejudice. of extreme motive.I belief that ...Love Conquers All.... Even God. Thats how all should see it. It is understood that no one can tell another human that they are wrong for what they think and feel. That is also what I believe. Isn't that how everyone should live? I believe without such prejudices and lies, That the world would be so much better. Open your eyes .See the world for what it is. See the people in the world for who they are! I will not force you to do so, but I ask you, Will you please open your mind for just a moment. Let all of this sink in, And think about this.

I don't remember who coined that term. I didn't coin it. IIRC it was Dawkins. I said it for the hell of it, don't take it too seriously.
