  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hello, I have not been here in a long time. My husband has been out of work for some time. We have just moved into a new house (renting) and I am on disability and he gets partial retirement. We have been living off my backpay for SS for a while now but it is almost gone. I have put my faith in the LOrd and I know that he will provide, it is just the human side of me that tends to worry. I would appreciate any prayer you could pray. I will update you when I have an answer.

'Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one'
Amen

Matthew 6:25-34

Do Not Worry

25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life[b]?
28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own

I pray that Tekoa's husband's steps are ordered by you, Lord. Open the door and make a wayl Let him go to the right places for job opportunities, get to the right online job websites and meet your Divine Appointments for his new job. God, We thank you for the best working hours for him and the best pay rate. Your Word says speak those things that be not as though they are!! I thank you for his new job and your wisdom for financial gain for his family. Give this family peace and confidence that everything is under your control. Tekoa, Psalms 34:14b reads: Seek peace, and pursue. Remember, those who trust in God will not be disappointed!

Wow, thank you so much for your prayers!! I really appreciate them. I want to share with you what the Lord showed me today in my quiet time with Him.

I was reading in Jeremiah 49:1-13 there in my devotional said that Pride brings a false sense of security. Anytime we trust in material things rather than God we are forgetting that everything we have comes from God not ourselves.
I have been guilty of this. and I ask the Lord for humility to trust in Him and not things.
Also he guided me to 2 Tim 2 vs 4
No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please Him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

My fight, daily struggles are not to be against the things of this life, (my finances, husbands job) but my fight is to fight the good fight of faith and see it through to completion.

A soldier, when he has enlisted, leaves his calling and all the business of it, that he may attend to his captians orders. (Matthew Hennry Comm.)

My focus has been on the wrong thing. Please help me pray that I can get this into my spirit.
I also hope this might help someone else as well as it has me.
Have a great day!
