• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi,
Is there anything you can do to make things right?
If the person is a good friend maybe
they'll listen.
I did something so wrong once my friend didn't talk to me for many years.
Praying for ya.

soooo stupid. i said something that was hurtful to someone i really care about and it sucks draggin my stupidity around with me everywhere i go.

idiocy is inescapable if your sober. idiocy is in the making if you aren't.

...blahhh:(
I am so sorry that you have to live with your actions for the moment. Sometimes that one thing in us that does that stupid thing needs the startling reality that yes we did hurt someone, but the most important thing that can be done now is pray, don't do it again, move on and do everything you can to make it right with the person. Something done that hurt someone, can often be made right with a sincere apology and an about-face in the situation. Please know that you are in my prayers and so is this situation.
