I am happy to find a Message Board where I can communicate with mature brothers and sisters in Christ without becoming a stumbling block for those not yet ready. I am in my 51st year of my redemption and was blessed to have been born into a family that prepared me to make a decision to receive Christ as soon as I understood that I was the sinner that Christ died to redeem. But it was truly a matter between Jesus and myself, and not an attempt to please others. My background is Southern Baptist, though I spent some time in fellowship with the Evangelical Free Church while in Michigan. When I traveled for work, I would try to associate with a local church while in the area. I have also known people who have some notoriety in leadership such as Paul Pressler, my SS teacher in Houston during troubled times in our Convention. As usual, that will be looked upon as good, bad or unimportant depending on your background. My desire in participation on this platform is to share ideas and concepts and rightly discerning whether they are a deeper understanding of God's nature or mere human speculation. I am quick to caution myself and others to hold fast to Truth (Scripture), reject Heresy (Against Scripture), consider tradition outside of scripture as human advice and discern which is which through prayer. In the end, I want to hear, "Well done my good and faithful servant,"
