  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

The 6+ minute video talks about the affects of Liberation theology on the Catholic Church. I know that has been very problematic, but I wonder how much of this could be exaggeration etc. from some Catholic Conspiracy theorists etc.

It's not an exaggeration at all. In fact, what is shown here is just the tip of the familiar iceberg that has remained hidden for centuries.

Remember the French Revolution that tried to shut down the Catholic Church, arrested and killed priests, and martyred nuns?

Remember the Crusades, the defense of the Holy Lands, the protection of pilgrims by the Knights Templar, and the infiltration from the East of the Holy Land?

Remember what happened in Poland when Russia invaded, and the same things were happening to priests and Catholics there?

Now we have a ring side seat, so it's best to pay attention.

It is dramatic. It may be exaggerated, but most of Mr. Voris' statements have a seed of truth in them. What we thought was exaggerated in some of his past statements is now considered basic history, eg. ex-cardinal, ex-bishop, and ex-priest Mr. McCarrickand his molestation of seminarians.

So, take it with a grain of salt, but he is right sometimes. Too often.
