How to Wiki
The Wiki process is used to put forth ideas, proposals, and points about topics in a Wiki which may or may not result in consensus among membership regarding the Wiki and may become rules/policies/protocol etc., if consensus reached.
All are encouraged to participate!
To begin a new Wiki, go to the Christian Forums Home Page and then to one of the Wiki forums shown below.
Christian Forums General Wiki
The Christian Forums General Wiki is the main Wiki forum in CF Support and is where all topics concerning the whole of CF are located. Examples: CF Rules, Protocol, Guidelines and anything that pertains to CF forum wide.
Wiki/Rules Discussion
The Wiki/Rules Discussion forum is not a Wiki Forum but a place where one can start or participate in discussion on any topic which may lead to starting a Wiki in General Wiki. (One can start a Wiki without posting here.)
Teams Forums Wiki
Support Forums Wiki
Ecumenical Forums Wiki
Theology Forums Wiki
Ministry Forums Wiki
Friendship Forums Wiki
Recovery Forums Wiki
Outreach Forums Wiki
Debate Forums Wiki
The Teams Forums Wiki's are Team specific Wiki's which develop guidelines and protocols and anything that concerns that team and forums under that Team.
To create a wiki:
Click on the symbol below which is located in the upper left area of the Wiki forum.
.

Create a title and write your proposal and/or specific guidelines/protocol/rules etc., for your topic, then hit save. This is called the article of the Wiki. To make changes to the article hit edit.
Other members will participate in the process by editing the article (delete, add, change) as well as in the discussion section of the Wiki.
To post or read in the discussion section of the Wiki hit discussion.
Since any member can edit the article, it is good practice to be involved in the discussion of the Wiki by posting support and reasonings for your topic(s).
Members help in developing the wiki by discussion and editing the article.
This is why the Wiki process works so well as it is a collaborative effort by all bringing many points and ideas to help make the Wiki article come together.
Discussion is the way to gain consensus for points and helps as members who are in agreement will tend to stop changing (editing) the article which will most likely evolve much from the original article.
As discussion grows and the majority involved in the discussion agree with what is now in the article this is called reaching consensus.
At some point (depending on the topic) a snapshot may be taken of the Wiki article.
A snapshot is a copy taken of the Wiki article at the moment in time the snapshot is taken and then it becomes protocol, rules, guidelines etc.
Polls are not generally used in General Wiki (at the moment) as for now they are consensus driven.
In Team Forums Wiki's, polls have been used in some cases to reach consensus.
Team Wiki's may or may not be governed by results of General Wiki.
Members can participate in any Wiki by discussion and editing.
