I like Indian food also. Some of the texture gets to me though.Interesting stuff. The cinnamon coated pretzels are the best. So, you like Chinese-American food better? I like some Asian food, but Indian food is the best.
Yeah, sometime the food is too spicy.I like Indian food also. Some of the texture gets to me though.
Yeah I do not like Indian food, except for Chicken Tikka Masala, which isn't an "authentic" Indian dish since it was invented in England. I got a great recipe for it from Better Homes and Gardens.I do not mind the spice. It those runny dishes that look like something out of a baby’s diaper that gets to me.
I don't think I have had that stuff though.I do not mind the spice. It those runny dishes that look like something out of a baby’s diaper that gets to me.
I had Orange Julius for a recipe in 5th grade for the class. It was good. Here in the '70's and '80's, we had two large malls right across a street from each other. One is still thriving, but the other went under in the '90's. Some developers knocked down the failed mall, and built a bunch of stand-alone buildings and strip centers in its place. It's weird because it's really the same thing as a mall, except to get from one store or restaurant to another, you have to walk outdoors instead of indoors. It's basically a mall, but without a contiguous roof. It's been doing well for a good while now.
I remember when malls didn't have food courts, but one mall had an Orange Julius stand.Loved those. I Occasionally make them at home in the summer.
Interesting….Malls had a Radio shack,
and a store that just sold rocks.
They could have a Block Buster Video store,Interesting….
Ooh, Radio Shack died out in 2015 or so.Malls had a Radio shack,
and a store that just sold rocks.
I like this idea. It could also sell other movie memorabilia like mugs, figurines, games, etc. They could have a Block Buster Video store,
that sells mostly movie posters.
I'd get a Studio Ghibli poster from this store, if this movie poster and memorabilia store was a thing.I like this idea. It could also sell other movie memorabilia like mugs, figurines, games, etc.
Not as many as there were perhaps, but Radio Shack still has over 400 global locations. Find one HERE near you!Ooh, Radio Shack died out in 2015 or so.I am old enough to remember seeing some Radio Shack standalone stores in my old town or somewhere. Now, all are gone.
Wait what? Radio Shack has not died? Not as many as there were perhaps, but Radio Shack still has over 400 global locations. Find one HERE near you!(Note: the site doesn't list them all, there is one in my town and not listed.)
I believe it was severely weakened, but has been resuscitated.Wait what? Radio Shack has not died?
Hey, thank you for this info. Looks like we both enjoy using AI. I use Mistral 7B locally on my computer, which is the biggest AI that my laptop can handle. Radio Shack just has a nostalgic name, and will be a classic always remembered, even if it has rebranded.I believe it was severely weakened, but has been resuscitated.
From Brave's AI
Radio Shack, a iconic brand in the electronics industry, is still in business, albeit in a transformed state. While the company has undergone significant changes over the years, it has managed to adapt and survive.
Online Presence
Radio Shack now operates primarily online, with a slimmer catalog of products. This shift has allowed the company to focus on its core components business and maintain a presence in the market.
Independent Stores
Approximately 500 independently owned Radio Shack stores still operate in the United States, offering a range of products and services. These stores are not affiliated with the online presence of Radio Shack.
New Ownership
In 2024, Radio Shack was sold by Retail Ecommerce Ventures (REV) to Unicomer Group, which owns the rights to the brand in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. This new ownership has plans to relaunch the website with 500 new products by late 2023.
Rebranding
In 2009, Radio Shack rebranded itself as “The Shack,” which helped boost sales of mobile products but impacted its core components business. The company has since focused on its online presence and independent stores.
Conclusion
Radio Shack may not be the same as it was in its heyday, but it is still in business, albeit in a transformed state. The company’s ability to adapt to changing market trends and consumer preferences has allowed it to survive and maintain a presence in the electronics industry.
I remember an old SNL skit about a mall store which sold nothing but Scotch tape.Malls had a Radio shack,
and a store that just sold rocks.
Well, I found one on the internet where nothing is sold but Scottish stuff.I remember an old SNL skit about a mall store which sold nothing but Scotch tape.
