  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I recently started a Christian niche and I was wondering how to create animation videos so that I can deliver them to my subscriber. I want to deliver video content animation bible stories for both kids and young adults. Are there software programs I can use to do this? I don't have any experience in graphic design though, but I am willing to learn. I don't mind outsourcing them, but it'd be better if I create them myself. I don't want to have to pay someone and let talent go wasted because in the end they aren't mind. How difficult is it to make videos and does anyone have any experience in this? I would like to hear your ideas.

Sounds lovely! Making the Bible more accessible for people is one of the best things you can do.

Sorry that you haven't gotten any help yet - not sure if you're still wondering about this!

Nonetheless, it all depends on the nature of the videos and essentially how involved you'd like to be. If you're quite serious about it, I'd recommend getting Adobe After Effects. It's a very powerful video editing tool, and you can subscribe to it by paying monthly or yearly through Adobe's Creative Cloud service.

In After Effects you can make animated graphics, high end effects and do video compositing. It's more or less the industry standard tool, so it has a lot of support, meaning it's very easy to find tutorials and help if you need it.

However, though sorry to say I haven't really looked into this all to much, I'm sure you can find many free alternatives for video compositing, though perhaps not as complete as After Effects. I think Windows comes with a free basic video editing tool, and there are even many free/very cheap apps that should allow you to edit videos.

But, put short, it depends entirely on the scale of your work.
