You can judge it by the Word. If you think you are hearing from God, but it goes against the Bible, then it's not God. Also, you can go to the Lord and ask Him to speak to you. He can use different ways of speaking to you. There can be an inner knowing, audible (not too often), thoughts, through the Word, and through others. Watch out that you don't get so concerned with hearing from the Lord that you assume things are from God when they aren't. The best thing to do is to judge by the Word. Also, God may not respond immediatley, so don't get too stressed over it. He will talk to you if you have faith and ask Him.

Good word.

Another thing that's important to remember is the Lord communicates to our spirit not our mind. Now, that doesnt mean you wont at times have thoughts corresponding to what the Lord is communicating to your spirit, but if you're trying to listen for Him with your mind, you will either get discouraged, frustrated, or you will "hear" stuff that's not from God.
