How to delete my account?

You can't. It's kinda like the Hotel California in that sense. You can check in any time you like. But, you can never leave.
Maybe just walk away, and in time you may decide to give it another go.
They probably invested alot of time and money into this new concept. I am pretty sure that there is no going back now.
It is a shame that we are losing you.

I spent some time looking things over, taking notes of where
stuff was and how to use various "tools" etc.

If you are determined to leave...

You can try this:
Make sure your computer "save info or save whatever" is turned off...
then do the following...

change your password on here... instead of watching what
letters you hit on your keyboard...type randomly (avert your eyes
or just close them) then save the new password.
Log out from christianforums.

If all goes well, you won't be able to log back in.

Probably admin is overwhelmed still with the change over, and will get to your request in time. But I would suggest you simply turn off all contact from the site and let the account be. Then it shouldn't impose on you, and it will be there should you ever want it. And in time the site will probably be smoother.

To do that, click on (not just hover over) your user name at the top-right. Select Contact Info on the left. Deselect all forms of contact, and Save.

To my knowledge, it isn't possible and isn't done.

If you'd liked to be banned then you can ask an Admin to do that.

I do not think there is a way to do this. However, having had a similar situation at a previous forum......

You have two equally effective ways to do it.

1. You can violate the forum rules until they ban you. I used that method on a previous forum that was filled with trolls non-stop. Worked like a charm.

2. You can go into your preferences, and disable every single alert, and then log out of your account. You do that, the forum software should never send you an alert or message, ever again. I've done that as well. It worked so well, that now that it has been a few years, I actually can't remember what forum I was on. It's never messaged me, and I have no idea what forum it was.

Most of the newer forums do not have a delete account function. The reason is because ridiculous people who apparently have too much time on their hands, will then create a new account, post a bunch of garbage and make fools of themselves, and then remake a new account.

You also have a problem with hackers and trolls spamming forums. They spam a hundred posts on sexual enhancement, delete their posts, then make a new account and spam again. Eliminating the ability to delete an account, keeps that computer address locked up, so they can't make a new account.
