  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

How to create a translation.

Thought I would share with you the database and software I created to put together the Prophetic School New Testament.
The database is made up of 18 translations as well as many good commentaries and greek word studies. The interface was created so that anything highlighted within references is automatically copied into the PSNT translation notes and various renderings.
The picture below shows what goes into the translation of a single verse of the NT. Each verse is likewise researched and studied. The top left is the PSNT. The top center and right are translation notes and renderings. The database is a simple Access Database and the program was written in Visual Basic 6.
The work has been in progress for a number of years, and I wonder if I will ever finish it because I constantly go back and update and change things as I learn more.
