A soldier of Christ doesn't get involved in the affairs of this life. Hes not concerned with politics because they're concerned with the things of this life. He doesn't complain or worry about earthly things. His body is temple so he keeps it pure and free from lust such as sexual immorality and lust for wealth and the things in this world. He follows gentleness, peace, and humilty. He endures hardship, sometimes beyond measure. He prays for all things and does not look to politicians for help. He rejoices even in sorrow. His riches are in heaven not on earth. He needs no teacher because he follows the scripture and spirit. He's judged by no man. God is his judge.

I agree with most of your post, but God has given us teachers, and I appreciate them. (1 Cor 12:28)

Paul said in the last days that people wont endure the truth but will flock to false teachers. Jesus said beware of false teachers. Paul said that after his departure vicious wolves would come in and not spare the flock. John said that we don't need a teacher. Jesus promised wisdom if we follow his commands in Matthew chapters 5-7 and in John 14 Jesus promised the holy spirit teacher to whoever keeps his words. I'm not seeing why we need teachers. We have Bibles and the promise of the Spirit.

I agree with most of OP. Being a soldier for Christ doesn't resonnate with me. Never much liked "Onward Christian Soldiers" either. Jesus called his disciples to be fishers of men, not soldiers.
And those disciples taught us to be soldiers.

How long has the bible been available to the common man ?
And if the Holy Ghost is doing all the teaching, why is there any point in even having a bible ?
Or pastors, deacons, teachers, and prophets ?
It is written..."And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues." (1 Corinthians 12:28)
Teachers outrank miracles !

No offense but it seems that your teacher failed you if you don't know those scriptures. I can look them up if you want but how can you challenge my post if you don't know what scripture teaches us? The point to the Bible is that it was given to us by God. Jesus promised the spirit to those who love and keep his words. The holy spirit reminds us of what Jesus teaches us in scripture. There isn't a teacher alive that I would match against scripture as my teacher.

There are no apostles or miracles workers. There are hardly any good teachers too.

Why hasn't the Holy Ghost just told you what to say ?
but how can you challenge my post if you don't know what scripture teaches us?
I asked you to show the scrip, and you are not doing so.
The point to the Bible is that it was given to us by God. Jesus promised the spirit to those who love and keep his words.
He promised it to those who would turn from sin and get baptized in His name for the remission of sins. (Acts 2:38)
The holy spirit reminds us of what Jesus teaches us in scripture.
Sometimes He does, but other times it is up to us to search diligently for answers.
There isn't a teacher alive that I would match against scripture as my teacher.
Me neither.
Please explain who 1 John 1:8 addresses.

I'ld like to see that scripture.
2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;

Acts 20:29 I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock

Matthew 7:15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
True and False Disciples
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
The Wise and Foolish Builders
24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
28 When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, 29 because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.

1 John 2:27 As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him.

1 John is saying that we have sin in us. Paul said we have sin in us too. Nothing good is in his flesh. It's no longer he who sins but sin that is in him. I don't sin though. I repented. Was I supposed to keep on sinning or something? Can I sin? Perhaps. Maybe I'm not aware of it. But I feel pretty good about my obedience. I'm guilty of much sin though so I'm not saying I've never sinned

OK, the 1 John 2:27 was the one I questioned.
Thanks, but I feel that if God gave the churches teachers, there just be some value in them.

I see that an odd point of view, for someone whose flesh was destroyed, (Rom 6:4), at it's baptism into Christ's death. (Rom 6:3)
How can there be sin in something reborn of God's seed ? (1 John 3:9)

"Faith cometh be hearing," (Rom 10:17), and that is how we "have" Jesus' words.
Our belief of those words will dictate our following actions.
Hopefully, those actions will be in obedience to Peter's repentance from sin and baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of past sins.
Do those two things, and we are promised the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:38)

That didn't answer my question.
Who does 1 John 1:8 address ?
It addresses those who walk in darkness, as do verses 6 and 10.
They are the ones who cannot say they have no sin; or that they have fellowship with God. (1 John 1:6)
Neither can they say that they even know God ! (1 John 2:3)
Walk in the light, for God is the light, in whom is no darkness-sin.
