i know you have explained it to me and when I get someone who does that...i want them to know that i am questioning them...i want them to think about what they are really saying when they just do that. If they are doing it to me, how many other people are getting that same treatment!
the bible will make sense to you in a certain way, you will say to yourself "it probably means this." go with that! obey it how you understand it, and ask God to help you, he wont let you misinterpret it to your own undoing. ...and i hope you understand to be open to interpretation to, you will LEARN what things mean as you go along you do NOT understand it all, and you don't even have to to live as God wants you to.
people throw around verses all the time and they get it all wrong, but a man with a pure heart cannot be turned aside with false teachings. they will delay him a little at most, but they will not keep him from Jesus.
What about when God says not to kill then instructs to kill
Exodus 32:26-28 (New International Version, ©2011)
26 So he stood at the entrance to the camp and said, Whoever is for the LORD, come to me. And all the Levites rallied to him.
27 Then he said to them, This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: Each man strap a sword to his side. Go back and forth through the camp from one end to the other, each killing his brother and friend and neighbor. 28 The Levites did as Moses commanded, and that day about three thousand of the people died.
so you are saying if i really just go with it, then by now I should be doing all of this
Mark 16
15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”
so here is my point again....if I were on an island and took your advice, the first thing this verse says to me is that i must be baptized to be saved, handle snakes, cast out demons, etc...none of which i do except i was baptized as a child.
I would much rather not be confused by scripture and just have the holy spirit lead my life.
This is what i mean...we have to pick and choose what is real and what isn't, what is for today and what's not...and then I would be told by the church that handles snakes that I am not a believer? and that I should pray for the holy spirit to lead me to truth!

I agree the problem is with man and not God and I know God is perfect, so do you think it's okay to kill? What does the commandment thou shoult not kill mean to you then?
i have read the bible, yes. and have read Genesis several times.

oh good grief! at times of war all the soldiers aren't charged for murder or as you would say for killing someone. Pleeeeeeaaaaaaasssssseeeeee!!!!!!!!
back in these days enemies of God were evil even as today, but they dealt with evil more severely then than we do now, so the ones that weren't for the Lord was the enemy and the enemy died. But please take note they had a chance to repent, mercy was given but refused
Well, regardless of who joyusdays was asking the question of, this is a very good answer...except you might have posted PUHLEEEEEZE as opposed to Pleeeeeeaaaaaaasssssseeeeee!!!!!!!!
I'm sorry joyusdays. I am not making fun of you. Hisdisciple3 and I had some ground tending to do and I used this opportunity. He is quite correct in his response to you.
