  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Lucas/Lukas and Luke seem to be fairly popular here in Germany (Well most NT Masculine names are)...

We picked Jonathan David, partly out of the fact that it would have been my name if I were a boy (mom and dad's choice) and because what the name means and the awesome friendship those two men had. I thought it would be awesome to honor him in that way, and it'd be the first time in three generations we'd have a "JD" in my family.

DH is still being funny about the whole thing (saying he'll call him John or Johnny or Davey --- please don't *begs and pleads*), but when people ask in seriousness he tells them the baby's name.

His grandmother was really funny when we were together two weekends ago, and said she'd be happy as long as we named him David. LOL! We told her his name and she was overjoyed. (hey, making over 80 yr old ladies happy is a good thing, esp if they didn't think they'd get to see great grandkids!!)

Usually you can check sites for popularity according to your state or country. It seems in some denominations or in some states/countries that certain names are preferred over others each year.. so you never know.

When I was named, there wasn't a single Jennifer that had been born that month in our state, but when I enrolled in school in 86, I was one of FOUR in my classroom. That was soooo confusing lemme tell you! (and I had been one of at least 2 and at most 4 for six more years!)
