how old is too old?

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that maturity is more important than age, et cetera. Should be obvious, but it seems as if some people put more importance on how many laps around the sun a person has made, than on how mature they actually are.

My standard is this:

I prefer similar age. Too young and then you don't get that matured physical body of a woman and then different stages of life. Too old then being at two different stages in life is just something I honestly don't want and I am not a fan of cougars. Maybe some can make it work. I won't make it work.

I don't have an absolute answer. Why people like Tomcats and Cougars is beyond me, but hey hope it works out for those who try it.

I think about +5 years would be my limit, I do seem to get along alot better with slighty older women, maybe I'm more mature for my age, or I like to think so

Correction. Age matters in some cases.

Not sure *whatever works I guess.... and legal lol.*, but I am kind of attracted to the idea of being with an older woman. Like someone in her 30's even 40's.

I like to stay in a 10 year range, with three years younger being that limit and seven years older being the high limit.

That rationale of age goes out the window when someone hooks up with a person significantly younger than them.

Being an older student, most of the people I meet are younger and they have become some of my best friends. The whole dating things was something that definitely seemed tricky to me though- it was hard to decide how young was too young, and it has been equally hard meeting men within my age range that are:

1) not married
2) attractive in all ways to me
3) that find me attractive in all ways aswell and want to be with me

So far a combo of those three have never happened. However, I recently met a guy 11 years younger than me, and I have to admit I've found myself considering and wondering... I would wait a while, just so we could really get to know eachother. With the age gap, and with him being so much younger, I'd want to make sure we were both sure and not just jumping into something without really thinking about it. But I dunno, so far I have found him to be attractive, he's super serious about his faith- more so than most men my age that I have met, and he's already been through a lot in his life, so he's grown up pretty fast. And he seems interested in me, which is the part that seems to be the hardest to meet in the equation- I've met plenty of great guys, some of which I asked out, none of whom liked me back.

So really, age? I don't know.

I never thought I would see myself considering a younger guy, especially one as young as this one is, but I guess I am startng to learn that for all our rules and standards, sometimes when you meet someone, the heart just doesn't see the list of wants, and, instead, sees a person you could love, who might love you back. And sure I'm older in age, but really, I have no job, am working on my undergraduate, have never dated before, and have only been living outside of my parents' roof for 2.5 years... I'm not exactly the typical 29 year old woman society says I should be. My life is closer to resembling that of a 19 year old then that of a 30 year old

But, anyway, as said above, I think that if you do decide to proceed, just to do so with caution, and maybe just give yourself time to get to know one another and be friends first. And yes, make sure it'll also be legal

Fortunately a difference in age is normally the least of my concerns.

If I were 16, and they were around 30, we'd be a perfect match. Especially if we met in a yahoo chat room

I wonder ... if the man were based within a country where age of consent is 16 would the FBI still be able to do anything about it?

If they were both in a country where the age of consent was 16 I suspect the FBI wouldn't have jurisdiction.

I suspect he'd make his teenage persona a year younger, to cover the bases in most Western countries and make international cooperation easier.
