  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

How often do you think about Jesus' second coming or the Tribulation or the End?

I think about it a lot. I have studied about it a lot but I can't seem to retain all the info that I would like.

I think about it when we have world wide catastrophies and when I hear about potential wars in the Middle East.

I'm not about trying to figure out when it will happen, only that I can discern the signs of the times and be prepared.

What about you?

I used to think about Jesus coming back a lot. I thought about it so much that I read over 40 books on Rev. and have over 300 pages I've written on how I viewed how I understood it.

Now I don't think about it much unless I see a title of an article that peaks my interest. Thanks to all the studing I did back in the 80s I can evaluate very quickly what I read on the topic from what I came to understand.

The last years I started to get interested in it. I was living together with an atheist in 2010 and was backslidden and then I saw someone predicting on youtube that Jesus would come back in 2012, 'cause we could only not know the day and hour, but we could know the year and one of 2 days. Now of course date setting isn't good, but I got so scared, that I yelled at him, he was already sleeping, in the middle of the night: JESUS IS COMING BACK!!!! WE HAVE TO CONVERT!!!!
He thought I had become totally nuts, but that was the reason I came back and stopped living in sin. Later we married and it was such a terrible marriage and I was so depressed, he was only playing WOW all the time and I was on my own when the kids were with my ex, so I wanted to find out when Jesus would save me from this misery, since suicide wasn't an option anymore.
We divorced and I became happy again and started to believe for revival, still do, but if I look at Israel, the fig tree, I don't think it will take long.

I can't figure out what is the right way to look at it, I read a lot about it. I think now that something is about to happen with those red blood moons and I have this urge that I must be ready. I am ready, but there's temptation and I made choices, I want to marry Jesus, I'm abiding in Him now and praying in tongues a lot and I feel this total peace, I want to be totally holy. I stopped smoking, I don't get angry anymore, I just cry out to Him to do it.
I think it will be mid trib and if you're ready now He will protect you for the tribulation and there will be revival. Not really sure though.

I had a dream about it in 2000 or something. The whole church was asleep, we were all sleeping in a big church on the ground, then I got up with my first ex and we went out, I first spoke to people in the hall and thought: oh no, these are the foolish Virgins. Then we went outside, I saw the bride and bridegroom, ready to get married and I said to him: Hurry up! They're already there, ready to get married, but he said: No, that will take years, first we get revival, that's what he Always said, that it would at least take another 100 years, but then he looked and he saw it. I'm in his church now and lately he said it was later then we thought. We want to get out on the Streets to evangelize again now.
We went on the Streets with christians of all kinds of denominations, preaching the gospel and then we went down and stepped into a train, which went off just like that. I Always thought that was the rapture, but it can also be ministry.

Just read something on the eschatology forum. If you're ready, He'll protect you in the tribulation and the wilderness place isn't only for Israel. That makes sense. That's what the Adullam children saw and I think they saw a prewrath rapture.

I think about it quite frequently but from a viewpoint of I am just tired of this world and it is time to go. I don't have time to look for the "signs" because I think I see them all around me in huge quantity of hurting people. However, then I think about the people I know who are not ready and don't want it to come quite yet...they need a bit more time.

When I was a teen, I read all the books about what to watch for...and to be honest, I kind of think that is a waste of time. It is coming regardless...I'm am not sure how predicting it or "seeing it coming" is relevant. Even more pertinent is remembering that every single one of us could die today....or tomorrow...and we need to be ready for that reason alone.

I have mentioned a while back in other posts that there were two times in the last 110 years that history had quite a few signs that seemed to line up in a while that looked like Christ might return. The first was WW2. Hitler seemed so like the Antichrist and WW2 seemed like the whole whole was fighting each other, but of course Israel wasn't a nation. But WW2 was the culmination of a movement that created the state of Israel again.
The 2nd time was 1988 and we had a book with 88 reason Christ could come back in 88. We had Israel being a nation for a generation and so the generation that saw the fig tree blossom. But of course we didn't have anyone as evil as Hitler.

I just don't see anything that is any where near as evil and as pronounced as Hitler and Israel's place bring about that time today. Even the economic competition we have isn't that evil yet, but it is moving that way I fear. But it has a ways to go.

I do think we are to pay attention but not look for signs on a daily basis. Like I don't think it should consume all of our thoughts.

Matthew 16:2-3 Jesus is talking to the Pharisees and the Sadducees because they were testing him and asked for Him to show them a sign

2"He answered and said to them "when it is evening you say "it will be fair weather, for the sky is red" 3 and in the morning "it will be foul weather today for the sky is red and threatening" Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times."

And in Luke 21:20 Jesus says "But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that it's desolation is near"

Really for me it's all in Matthew 24 and Luke 21 all in Jesus' words. But I do think about it all the time and am keeping my eye on Israel and the Middle East.
