How often do you attend church?

I voted "Evertime the doors are open" although I haven't gone to church in a while. I plan on going again soon though and I plan to go as often as I can.

I guess my question now is, is an acolyte just below a teacher as described by the Bible, just below an elder, or just below a deacon?

Your framework doesn't apply in the case of an acolyte. Many of these things are part of "continuing revelation" (see: Sacred Tradition) and are not necessarily based on scripture.

The heirarchical structure is far more complex than the parameters you've allowed.

Well that's my olive-skinned Italian self in my avatar... Of course, that was many years ago when I worked out... I'm not as bulked-up, but I've still got the olive skin!

I hope I didn't limit it too much. Holy Tradition can be good, but I always like to stick to the Bible as my first source. Could you explain it a little more please?

Right now I attend a service on Sunday mornings. As soon as I find a church which shares my beliefs, I will be there "everytime the doors are opened". I love being in the church and being among others who share my beliefs so that we may worship the Lord and pray to Him together. I will be eternally thankful when I am able to live within distance of such a faithful community and I yearn for that day. Until then, I go on Sunday mornings and holidays only (most weeks).

Well, we're heading down a road (my fault) that I do not wish to travel. If you want an assessment of either "Sacred Tradition" or of the heirarchical structure of the Catholic Church, I suggest you go to the OBOB board or read the Catholic Encyclopdia online (leave a block of time, there's nothing simple in the Catholic Encyclopedia).

We call our pastor "teaching elder", but we are an elder led church, not typical of SB but we like it. Another bonus to this system is you don't have to explain it, it just reads this way in the bible. One word you will not find in scripture is democratic or committee for that matter. This is a bone of contention I have with SB in general but all other matters outweigh this one, so I remain SB.
