On November 4th, 2008 millions of Americans were shocked that a man of Barack Obama's limited experience, extreme liberal positions and radical political alliances could be elected President of the United States. For many of these Americans, the explanation was rather simple... the news media, completely enamored with Obama, simply refused to do their job.

On Election day twelve Obama voters were interviewed extensively right after they voted to learn how the news media impacted their knowledge of what occurred during the campaign. These voters were chosen for their apparent intelligence/verbal abilities and willingness to express their opinions to a large audience. The rather shocking video below seeks to provide some insight into which information broke through the news media clutter and which did not.

Follow the link to see the video and read the Zogby poll.

Interesting stuff...very eye opening.

Actually, that was *very* interesting, and very worrying.

Getting their information from Jon Stweart... seriously?

Heh. But, Ish, seriously: they all believed a quote from an SNL skit as opposed to what Palin *actually* said. That's appalling.
Yes it is true,

and they get their info. from late night talk shows too -
like David Letterman & Jay Leno.

Alot of people won't watch the news, so they hear negative stuff
on entertainment shows & think it's based on fact.
One guy in another thread here threw back an attack about
Palin not knowing Africa was a continent just the next day after
that anonymous campaign staffer said she didn't know it....

they since found out that's false from other staff that came forward
visibly... people just believe things if they come out on tv/news without any verification.
If they report it, it must be true.
People are so gullible and lazy anymore, it's sad.

(I'd also note that the media knows this & that's why the liberal media keep smearing Republicans even with false rumors - they know it works.)

even as I was disappointed with the Bush administration, I still had the common sense enough not to vote for obama, and I would do it again, over and over.
ditto.

and he claims "Change".... he's just appointing Clinton's old crew!

How is this "change'? lol
I think by change, all he means is change from George Bush - not REAL change in govt.

same old democratic crap.

The Republicans were fired for cause, for gross incompetence, and for failing to express a positive vision. Obama was elected because he was there and was the most unlike them.

I think Obama wants to govern more or less to the center, or at least recognizes the political necessity of it if he wants a 2nd term, but will be unable to because of Congress, which will pull him hard left, just like the first two years of the Clinton administration.

The best gift we can give Obama is the same one we gave Clinton in 1994 -- a Republican House. Newt Gingrich and Dick Morris deserve the lion's share of the credit (or blame) for Clinton getting a 2nd term, and for his reputation as a centrist.

But his voting record doesn't show centrist, it shows hard left like his cohorts, Pelossi & Reid.

I'm not so sure of that Iz...I think the "We hate George Bush...so we elected Obama" is kind of thin reasoning...

...and has more to do with the media biased Blitzkrieg and not just in the year leading up to the election...but for all 8 years of the Bush Admin....

...coupled with mass deception not only polically...but spiritually as well I think.

This man was elevated to messiah status...

...and no matter of the truths about his association with Rev Write, Bill Ayers, Rashid Khalidi, ACORN, and the Dem’s being the driving force laying the foundation for the Freddie and Fannie debacle and the current economic crisis…

…or about Obama’s stance on partial-birth abortion, embryonic stem cell research, gay marriage, wealth redistribution and socialistic goals, his plan to torpedo the coal industry, his criticism of the Constitution of the United States, his refusal to place his hand on his heart for the National Anthem, his thoughts regarding US withdrawing support of Israel…his “let’s talk” to terrorists policies…

None of that trumped...basically "We hate George Bush, Obama is THE leader this country needs for change…and we have to help the poor and pull out of Iraq."

Did George Bush do everything right...nope...sadly...politics gets in the way of politicians...

What George Bush did do...under massive negative media propaganda...the most heinous attack on American soil this country has ever seen, mulitple natural disasters like we've never experience before...was his best to keep his campaign promises, he upheld the Constitution of the United States and he kept this country safe for 8 years.

Joe Biden is already doing damage control in Spin City to be prepared that our country WILL suffer another terrorist attack within the first 6 months of Obama taking office...but not to worry...Obama will TALK to the Terrorist and everything will be fine...

I assume that will be for all 57 states and one more to go...Yikes...a president that doesn't even know how many states we have...

...just boggles the mind

Yeah, I know.

I also know that if he governs hard left, he won't be re-elected. And I think he knows that too.

Obama is so far Left...he's even left of the Left...:o

Now Clinton did see the necessity to swing Central when the political wind blew that way and the Dems lost Congress for the first time in how many decades?

That was another thing that amazed me in those interviews...ALL of them thought Congress was currently Republican...Oy!

Obama...IMO... feels he's so far above considering what the people think...it won't matter what popular opinion is...or if Reps gain control of Congress again...I'm thinking his opinion and the opinions of the money bags that fund him will far outweigh anything the American people actually think.

And here's the kicker...IMO...Obama can fail miserably in the next 4 years...if the media and TPTB holding the purse strings still support him...somehow it will still all be Bush's fault...

Yes, I'm aware of all that. But Obama had the opportunity because Republicans, both in the White House and in Congress, blew it. Bush had a approval rating around 20% going into into Election Day, and the economy sucked. Bush was on TV almost every day talking about the bad economy and the massively unpopular bailout package. McCain ran almost 30 points ahead of Bush, and you can't ask much more of a candidate than that.

Every point I made echoes what Dick Morris and Newt Gingrich have been saying. I'm not saying it because I think they're always right... but I do think they are this time.

Republicans have to do better, and they will. :)

I'm deeply cynical of media documentaries like this. Because they generally reflect the attitudes of the people making them.

The voters are suposedly intelligent voters, yet there is nothing within the documentary that outlines their credentials. Who says they are actual Obama supporters, the people making the documentary

After an experience with the media in which the footage was skewed in the worst way possible to sell maximum air time and reflected nothing of the actual reality of what was happening at the time, like I said, I'm deeply cynical of the accuracy of these types of media documentaries.

I have to say that after they had full control of govt. & completely BLEW IT - then scandals started popping up in the party,
I knew then that it would take a miracle to win this election - I pretty much figured it would be over with & it was.

Partly we figured the party deserved it - but it still doesn't make me feel any better about it. It's extremely upsetting to see full blown liberals in such power.
It's disturbing to say the least
