How many books do you own?

Too many to count...and then there are my wife's. I have a couple of degrees and did okay at math, but I'm doubtful I can count that high.

I filtered my books down considerably in the last few years; I'd say about 4 shelves worth. Here are a few - let's call it "the Book Shelf Challenge"

I inherited my parents’ libraries and that’s on top of my own. Seven full bookshelves and more scattered about.

I gave some to the local "Friends of the City" book store for re-sale, to help encourage reading, and to support the local county library.

plus we can request the library buy books which I have done

do have books on writing, painting, and religious books
can't part with them

When I was growing up, I did summer reading programs and would fill the cards multiple times. They would give me the adult ones and I would fill those up quickly too.

I have too many to count right now, but I have been getting into reading e-books more often nowadays than a paperback/hard-copy. It is easier to take with you, as well as collect, and its more accessible. I can finally enjoy a book without having to think about how close I am to the end.

Well, not as many as I used to!
I sort out books that I know I won´t re-read and give them to charity.
I´ve been doing this consistently (more or less) for some time now...
