It seems to me that reflecting back in my life I thought maybe every ten years at a time I can remember thinking that I had finally got to the point where I understood the " Big picture" of life Now I of course see the changes in stages of life, values, career plan etc. Thus it seam's that if I should live maybe 10 to 30 more I can expect more changes in the above.

Can any of you share similar reflections, the "if I only knew then what I know now " things, or especially, deeper spiritual changes in your ideology

Blessings,

I don't think we ever will understand the "big picture".
Some things I have concluded in my 40+ years on earth.

1. Life realy isn't fun until you get to 40.

2. Up until 40 no one takes you seriously. Promotions and recognition are hard won. After 40 I find myself having to turn down promotions and opportunities due to lack of time and feasibility. Everyone seems to want me in charge of things all of a sudden.

3. Love is much more powerful when you are young. Love is more resilient when you are old.

4. Just when you finally have all the insight and wisdom you've lost all the energy.

5. Hard work, drive, and determination will always take a backseat to careful ego assuasion.

6. Hard work isn't always rewarded in proportion. It's better to strive for maximum pay for the minimum amount of work.

7. In the end, all you can count on from your career is your monthly/weeekly paycheck.

8. Dating after 30 generally sucks. At least compared to the revelation in #3.

9. All the stuff your parents complained about your generation were learned by watching and imitating them.

10. If you want to complain about todays music being void of talent, first take a look at your own generations on hit wonders.
