How Great Is The Love

"How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!" 1John 3:1

When God gave us Jesus to die for the atonement of our sins, He was "lavishing" us with His love! Remember this when you are having doubts, or when you are having trouble "feeling" loved. The Word is clear...the fact that we can now be called His children means that we have been lavished with the love of God! Its a truth you can stand on.

I so agree, Redeemed. Sometimes we don't feel God's love. But since the Bible says so, we can stand on His Word that God loves us and is with us always. What a promise! :)

Great thread . . . a good reminder for all of us! :pink:

Sounds luxurious, doesn't it, to be lavished with love! So much that we can roll around in it, soak in it, drink it in and still never run out!

mmmm. Yes, luxurious is a good word for it! And as I sit here thinking about that love that has been lavished on me, I have to ask myself when was the last time that I lavished love on someone else? My kids, my husband, my friends, my God? I think I need to do some lavishing when I get home!
