You scored as Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan.

You are an evangelical in the Wesleyan tradition. You believe that God's grace enables you to choose to believe in him, even though you yourself are totally depraved. The gift of the Holy Spirit gives you assurance of your salvation, and he also enables you to live the life of obedience to which God has called us. You are influenced heavly by John Wesley and the Methodists.

Interesting. It looks like my world view is most similar to Methodists. The quiz had some hard and confusing questions but I won't let it get to me.

Something I wanted to note about this test, is that it said that I have been heavly influenced by John Wesley. The weird thing is that, except for hearing his name a few times, I know nothing about John Wesley or what he taught! Strange...

You scored as a FundamentalistYou are a fundamentalist. You take the Bible as the foundation of your faith and read it very literally, and it shapes your worldview. Non-fundamentalist Christians have watered-down the Gospel in your view, and academic study of the Bible stops us from 'taking God at his word.' Science is opposed to faith, as it contradicts basic biblical truths.

Hmmm...maybe there's something to this. Maybe I'm more fundamentalist than I had previously thought.

Are you sure this is accuarate? I don't even really know what Wesley teaches.

And I consider myself a pentecoastal, but postmodern? Ah, I am not post modern.

What is neo something, which I score 2nd in.

I put 3 as the answer for those questions on theologians that I know nothing about.

Thanks for bumping this. On page 2 are my results from 2005, so it interesting to see how this changed.

Here are todays results, who knows what they will be in 2009.

Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan 96
Reformed Evangelical 86
Fundamentalist 82
Neo orthodox 71

I hadn't heard of any of the theologins, so I picked option 3 for those.

Also, some questions are strangly worded. For example when it asked if Homosexuality is one of the worst sins, I put one, b/c I think all sin is the same. No better, no worse. Maybe I should have put 3?

Also,
Jesus was an excellent moral teacher who's example we should do our best to follow. What is the answer for that? I put 5, because that statement is 100% true, but he is much much much more than that. Did the quiz expect a 1, since he is so much more than just a teacher?

There are also a few others, but still a pretty good quiz.

That is a phrase that they usually use to limit Him as simply a moral teacher. It is saying that He is not the author and creator, that He is not God, but simply a teacher that we should listen to along the same respects as Buddha or Confucius . Unfortunately anyone that believes that does not really listen to his teaching since He claims to be more than simply a moral teacher. I'm sure I put 0 on that one.

Yeah, I realize that. It is just poorly worded. It needs to say "Jesus was ONLY. . . ., there are several other examples, but this is why you don't pick a church based on a poll.

TwinCrier-

What science opposes faith? Pseudoscience does. Humanist godless scientists do.

I'm a scientist and a christian. I don't believe in Darwinism because its scientifically impossible. Go to www.reasons.org - belief and science. A man with a PhD in Chemistry created this site.

Science is in the Bible:

Bible before Science
He hangs the earth on nothing - Job 26:7
(Job was written at least 1000 years ago - some scholars think it could be even 3000 years ago)
Note: Man only knew this for 350 years
Earth is a sphere, Isaiah 40:22
Air has weight, Job 28:25
Gravity - Job 26:7, Job 38:31-33
Winds blow in cyclones, Eccl 1:6

Different scientists have different ways they look at the world - this determines their fundamentalistic view of the world and their science.
