I hope I'm answering properly...

There really isn't a touch-see-feel answer...At least, not the type most people are comfortable with...But that's why it's called faith...Believing in something you can't touch in front of you...

I believe evidence of God is all around us. Ever seen a waterfall or the view from a mountain top? Does it make more sense that boom it "landed" that way, or that someone put it there?

When things are going tough or you don't know what to do...ever hear a voice that directs you? Is it more likely the answer came out of nowhere, or that someone whispered it to you? I've seen people (friends, not just on TV or whatever) healed. A lady in my church has degenerative bone disease. Her hip bones were basically flat, not ball-and-cup. One night the elders of the church prayed over her. The next day she was bending down to tie her shoes, the next Sunday she RAN to the front and did jumping jacks. The xrays showed bone growth. It is more likely that her bones grew overnight by coincidence, or that someone healed her?

Most people don't have a sit-down conversation with God. I mean, they don't hear His voice like we would talk to our friend over coffee....He uses the Bible as the main way of talking to us. But I believe he truly speaks to us...sometimes it's just hard to hear, cause we're so busy and trying to stay in control of our lives and we just don't really "listen" Most people want a "right now, what I want to hear" answer..and that's not always the case...

I'm sorry, I'm probably not explaining very well, and it's probably not the "in-stone" answer you're looking for...I hope I haven't confused you more...Hopefully someone else can explain maybe more clearly than I can.

Dear Arkhan. You had a lovely reply given you by svl3p, and each one of us will come to understand God, differently. The important thought is: listen and be receptive, talk to God, tell Him about your feelings, about your love for Him, get to know our Father in Heaven. God can see our hearts, He knows our thoughts and wishes. I always imagine to be on the Telephone to Him, and as time goes by, the connection between me and our Great and Glorious God has become more instant. It is up to you, Arkhan, tell God your thoughts, or ask Him your questions, the answers will always come at the right moment. Watch and pray, and keep watching and praying. God knows and God will let you know, too. I say this humbly and with love. Greetings from Emmy, sister in Christ.

All of mankind has fallen. So, we need a Lord and Savior. The question that I would ask myself is, Are you a good person? http://www.livingwaters.com/good/ Can you keep all of the 10 Commandments 100% of the time all the time? Only Jesus could. Other religions seem to go by works alone.

We are saved by grace through faith. Its a gift of salvation. After one has saving faith, good works are a byproduct of true faith. We don't believe in works alone because God standards are billions of light years above us. He is holy. Its like you asking a bunch of ants to build you a house - not real impressive.

A relationship with God starts out by repenting of ones sins and turning to Christ. Its a prayer to Jesus saying we are sorry for our sins. And we ask Him to be our Lord and Savior. Then we ask for the Holy Spirit. Without it we don't have the power to live a christian life - our human efforts alone won't do it. We need God help all the time. This comes from praying daily (talking to God); reading the Bible (Gods Word); surrounding ourselves with other christians like us (attending church) which should be an inspirational environment. A church that takes christianity seriously - not a christian country club and/or a bunch of phonies. Its a lifelong lifestyle - as we die daily to our sinful self and grow more and more in Christ. Your nature changes and one doesn't want to practice sin - but you won't be sinless. As long as we are on earth we won't be sinless because of our flesh. Only Jesus was sinless. Its by continual choices on a daily basis and with the work of the Holy Spirit in your life.

There is only one way to the father and that is through Jesus Christ. He is the way the truth and the life. God gives you understanding. You must search him out through faith in Jesus Christ.

Without faith it is impossible to please God. For everyone who comes to him must believe that he exists, and that he rewards those who diligently seek him.
