  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

how does he answer?

 :help:
when a person asks GOD for help, how does he answer?
How is it that you can ask for a long time and not hear him?
I have been confused for quite some time and what I asked for is so simple to him. If the problem wasn't going to be taken care of then I needed to know how to fix it myself, but neither request was answered loud enough for me to hear it.So then... does GOD have other plans? my little boy will be so sad soon and I don't know what to say to him to make it better.
I need to know if anyone has heard GOD speak??

Hi Laine,
I know that God always hears us...but things are not always answered how we would like, because we are human beings, we think in very human terms...what is it in your life, that is going on if you don't mind me asking, that makes you feel that God isn't listening? I want you to know that you are in my prayers and I want to help you through this difficult time. I am here for you! with love and blessings!
Amie

He speaks to us in the Bible. We can know the mind of God. We can know what it is His will and desire to give to us.

Also, IF we seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, then He will supply all of our needs. If we DELIGHT ourselves in Him, He gives us the desires of our heart. I do these things and live by them.

What He is not is our servant, like a Gene in a bottle. He wants what is best for us, but we are to serve Him. Sometimes what we think we want, is not always the best for us. We think they are, but God knows better. Thanks, JohnR7

Have you gone to your pastor asked him to pray with you for awhile? Tell him you want to pray with him or others who are prayer warriors in your your congregation till you do get answer. Ask God to reveal His will in your life. Ask Him to bless you. Ask Him for all your needs. The word says,
"You have not, because you ask not."
We are not speaking of trivial things here. This is important to you and to God. Be humble, but be bold. Do not hold back. You are His child and He knows you. He loves you.

I agree with all these answers! In JohnR7's post, when he says we'll get all we desire means that our desires will be God's will, and God only gives things according to His will (I don't know exactly where that's at, but I know it's in there).

I'll pray for you!

God bless you! :)

God answers prayers in many different way...silence being one of them. Not getting any kind of audible or visible answer was something I used to struggle with, but I've learned that you've just gotta trust God. He knows what He's doing!

When the idea is not right, God says 'NO'
No - when the idea is not the best.
No - when the idea is absolutely wrong.
No - when though it may help you, it would create problems for someone else.

When the time is not right, God says, 'SLOW'.
What a catastrophe it would be if God answered every prayer at the snap of your fingers! Do you know what would happen? God would become your servant, not your master. Suddenly, God would be working for you instead of you working for God.

When you are not right, God says, 'GROW'.
The selfish person has to grow in unselfishness.
The cautious person must grow in courage.
The timid person must grow in confidence.
The dominating person must grow in sensitivity.
The critical person must grow in tolerance.
The negative person must grow in positive attitudes.
The pleasure-seeking person must grow in compassion for suffering people.

When everything is all right, God says, 'GO'.
Then miracles happen:
A hopeless alcoholic is set free.
A drug addict finds release.
A doubter becomes a child in his belief.
Diseased tissue responds to treatment, and healing begins.
The door to your dream suddenly swings open and there stands God saying, 'GO!'

God's delays are not God's denials. God's timing and answers are perfect.
