  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ok, "ole " in my user name says it all. I hate computers (when I took my ONE computer class in college - we were still using punch-cards!!) and consider myself computer illiterate. I have succeeded in reigistering and have read the rules but could someone send me some hints on navigating this thing and posting? I am here for the specific purpose of debating another person about evolution. He picked this site for the public exchange...is there an evolution thread? How do I find it??

I am an independent Christian, currently worshipping at the home of elderly in-laws every Sunday. I am an inderpendent politically, so don't look for me in the "party" section under either wing of our one party system.

I use the KJV and firmly believe GOD is NOT the author of confusion. If we're confused - its our fault - not His!

im in the same boat as you i just posted my first post today...i havent a clue how to manouver on this board. Perhaps we can teach each other as we learn???
i also love to debate theology and evolution...but i am on your team!
