I thought a provoking question.

I would be devestated to seek clearing myself, purely due if the person asking is soundly spiritual his or herself. Of course, that is acheived once such persons have cleared themselves of carnal partiality, 1 Corinthians 2:14, James 2:1.

How do you stay spiritual without being weird? Asked by a teenager.

Do not try to evangelize everybody. Share your principles when asked or with close friends, but do not act like a 24/7 pastor to people around you.

Also, do not put faith and reason/science against each other.

But sometimes, you will be weird if not drinking, smoking, partying, sleeping around, lying etc. But such weirdness is easily defensible, because its obviously a better life style. So its not weird in the meaning of being wrong.

Ohh, sorry. I will admit, not all that common a phrase, but not altogether an unknown term either,

What diligence it produced in you, what clearing of yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what vehement desire, what zeal, what vindication! 2 Corinthians 7:11​

For if someone full of the Spirit convinced me of a weird walk before the Lord, I would certainly repent, just as in ancient times. From my perspective, the Spirit himself offers some insight,

I'm guessing you could pinpoint a couple of big 'turn-offs' to those outside, young and old.

It all comes down to what is considered "normal." This concept is very powerful in kids who are trying to find their identity. Most kids are helpless in the face of peer pressure. I suspect that most Christian kids are considered weird in today's world. I was saved when I was 17. This was 1971. You were considered weird back then if you carried a Bible or prayed over your lunch. I cannot imagine what it is like today.
All I can say is be yourself and stick to your conviction. You may get made fun of, but that is a part of life. Just smile and go. Be nice and even charitable to those who might not go with what you are. Some kids are just insecure about what others think and are themselves afraid to buck the culture. But it was odd that back in the 70s, if you were a Christian in school, it was almost like you were rebelling against the culture. Drugs, sex, drinking, hating your parents were all "cool."
Most importantly, don't react badly toward those who treat you strange.

You can not. Our objective is to please God, not people. Only people think we are weird when we try to become the person God designed us to be. In heaven no one will think we are weird.

I don’t think there’s anything abnormal about doing something that billions of people have been doing for thousands of years. My advice would be don’t be so insecure about your beliefs. Be bold, don’t let people make you feel like your the abnormal one, stand firm and confident and know that it is their own ignorance that is hindering them from understanding the importance of faith in God. It is us who should have pity on them, not them who should have pity on us. They are the ones who lack enlightenment, not you.

I remember oh what... 40 years ago now went to see this young preacher who said he use to say your normal I'm weird. He said one day the lord corrected him "your normal their weird". HAHA

I learned a long time ago even before I came to Christ not to care what other people think. I just do me and if people don’t like it they don’t have to hang around me.

Spirit Filled or Charismatic.. is the same sweet sweet holy Spirit and you will be over joyed knowing He never ignores or deletes you

I just checked and this forum says up at the top it is 'Pentecostal' or 'Assemblies of God'. I mistakenly thought it was 'Charismatic' or 'Spirit Filled'. I am the latter, but not the former. I just don't want to step on any toes, and more so don't want the forum authorities issuing warnings and bans for my overstep. I consider the 'Charismatic' area as almost a second home on CF when I'm not at OBOB or TT and not at all like most of CF where I feel I don't belong at all. That's mostly because of the political hostilities and religious hostilities prevalent out there.

I am overjoyed knowing the Holy Spirit will not ignore me or delete me. And thank you for treating me kindly.
