I am curious how people around the world do this. I know it can change from week to week, but what are some ways you do it?

Thanks! My shield was described as being for "Jesus freaks" - which I am, so I bought it!honorthesabbath said:Hey PaleHorse--I was admiring your duds too!! You look quite debonair my dear. Just were did you get that shield??? It's amazing!!
Amen!nixxnaxx said:Lately, I have been welcoming Sabbath just as I do each day. Communication with the Creator; giving thanks for every moment. We have some kind of study with the children -- not necessarily from the Quarterlies, and whatever else suits the mood. I see Sabbath as a time to rejoice in the beauty of the universe, in the love of the Creator.

Nope no special prayers in particular.... I am learning to pray and express thankfulness for what He has given that week or that day AND in addition not to beg for things/stuff...nixxnaxx said:Yep. But then again, all my days are opened and closed with prayer. So Stormy, do you have special Sabbath prayers? Or have you found it not to be that important? I know that some observant Jews have Shabbat prayers that are not prayed during the week.
Sabbath isn't different for me in that sense. If I am not in open communication with God each moment, each day, then praying on Sabbath is only a talisman.
