The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. Look at the way the ocean, air and everything is intertwined. Look at the human body-how intricate. Look at the systems in place like the weather, birth, death...
does it seem random..did all this happen just by chance.. I am here therefore I am a part of it. I see master desgins-therefore I beleive in a Master and His Plan..(that's just the beginning, but think about it for a start)

Any plan that God makes for his followers will be the best for us... even if tougher than ones we may have chosen ourselves.
Depression tells us lies... it's hard work to NOT believe them. This is an important time to focus ONLY on God's Word, and not lean towards our own understandings because depression, well, it lies to us (and only tells us bad, negative things.)
So many great prophets in the Bible went through depression... and that's the key.... they went THROUGH it... keep on keeping on, it won't last forever.

thank you noxot, it is confusing, why does god allow the hurt, the loneliness, why allow people to be so cruel and hurtful, i dont hurt people or do bad to them so why?because God is the source of all life and you are His child. lack is an illusion, God never did stop providing everything you ever needed. I do know because I have the Spirit of God and this is the only way i can say with confidence that God loves you and He is the purpose of all reality. and since you are a child of His you also have much purpose. God is with you right now and you know it not. the truth is that if God is not where you are, then you would not be there, because He is the foundation for all of reality. and Father made everything in His Divine Love which transcends all comprehensions.

frank, thank you for your message, i dont know if god has called me and yes its true that jesus didnt have it easy but he is god and has the power to overcome, im only human and so weakI think that God simply called us all to give our life to Jesus, because on earth all is vanity. Once we will live for Christ, you will be in His plan. Its dure that if we dont give our life to Him, we will not make His will, but still He loves us so much that He take care of us in our life because we believe in Jesus and are called by Him because of faith ..
Remember Jesus didnt have it easy, because it was all for God, but God was with Him never abaondoning his son.
I just have to say keep having faith in Jesus, and if you want one day give Him your everything. As long as everything is in Jesus hands, He'll start living in you.
That's the million dollar question. I don't know why God allows bad things, but He obviously does. As we get older we come to accept that there is evil in the world without having the answer as to why. The good thing is that this life is only temporary, and there's a time coming when all evil will be eradicated and everything will be as God had originally intended. hi grace, thank you for explaining further. yes i do believe god exists and has is plan but what im enquiring about is does have a good plan for me, looking at life shows that the plan for some is not good but badYou say you believe in God, if so do you not see a system in place? Are you not part of that system? If the system is so intracately woven was it not planned?
Good/Evil is allowed because choice is allowed-what is faith or trust w/o choice?
One can not have faith if Everything is revealed or known..w/o Faith it is impossible to please God. The most important part in ANY relationship is trust.

hi jeshu, thank you for explaining this, however i just cant understand why god needs me to suffer from evil in order to give me a rewardLife down here has to do with faith in God's good.
I know that life down here can be very ugly and bad. In The End it was like that for Jesus as well, but faith in God knows that bad is turned for good, Jesus had such a faith that He knew that the agony of His earthly life would be turned to the ultimate good. So He kept going! Never wavering in the good of God.
So if your life is bad now, indeed if you suffer and all good seems to be gone, then rejoice because God is going to bestow ultimate goodness on you in time to come. You will be rewarded for suffering evil!
Your only hope is God's goodness, grab hold of Him in faith and don't let Him out of your sight.

dear noxot thank you for taking the time to reply. i cant thank god i was mistreated, it affects me badly still, its a life sentenceI look back on my life and I thank God that i was mistreated from time to time. all my defects are now turning to my advantage. God is love. it does not seem like it at the time, but you will look back and rejoice at what God has delivered you out of. if you are mistreated, do not mistreat others, if people are bitter to you, don't be bitter back to them. if you suffer and you are innocent, then that is all the more proof that you are a child of God, because the world loves its own. God is allowing you to taste what evil is, so that you also will not want to be evil. if you run to God and cling to Him during your trials, soon your sorrow will turn to joy and peace. joy and peace that is impossible for the world to have, because God is joy and peace and He is the comforter. some people get so close to God that even when evil people tortured and kill them, they are full of joy and peace. with God all things are possible.

the life God has for you is so good that even in the depths of hell you will rejoice, put your trust and faith in God, He is Love and your Father. reject those negative thoughts and only trust in those good things that are from God. seek God and you will find Him, there is no end, you will always be finding God. seek first the kingdom of heaven, escape from this evil world with its cruel ways, do not be consumed by it! you will greatly rejoice to see you trusted in and leaned on God for your strength and comfort. others were not so strong, and they were trapped in evil, so you be strong and be a light, so that they too may see and live and not die. you are a branch and connected to the tree of life when you abide in Christ, the sap that tree gives you will make you produce good fruits. it is the Spirit of God that gives life, goodness, love, hope. just trust God with everything and let go of everything contrary to God.
