  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I know it's late and I must do my own devotional rather than giving advice to others. But I would like to say, "Go for it by all means." I have my most wonderful brotherly fellowship in a cell group.

The cell I am talking about had 4 brothers (including me) and wives (not all had a wife). We were wasting our time for the first few months. One day a brother suggested that we read the bible through. We decided to read one book in 1-2 weeks and share what we learned at the cell meeting.

Immediately, we started to share our godly sorrows as the words convicted our souls. We started to pray for one another in godly concern. This lasted one year and we finished the bible. We became one in mind and became true brothers.

Looking back, that was my best brotherly fellowship experience. I still dream that I find another cell just like it. (We no longer meet since we are all scattered since then, geographically)

I recommend you to consider bible study, not that one teaches and others are taught. Each studies by himself during the week and share shame/joy/sorrow/innnermost thoughts/convictions, etc. The Lord will richly bless you.

This may not work for some people who are not ready for it yet but one of the best things you can do is just sit togeather in silence, waiting on the Lord to lead you into the rest of the night... Worship, Prayer, Testimony, Reading Scripture...
