How do you define Faith?

Honestly, how do YOU define it?

This is probably the 20th thread devoted to this subject, but there's a reason this issue comes up so much - because it is the most important issue in our spiritual journey with Him.

I will refrain from giving my opinion for now, so as to not influence the answers of others. Ijust want your honest, genuine opinions and THEN I will respond with my view and some research I've done...

I guess I'd define it as believing from the bottom of your heart that something is true without actually having it scientifically proven to you. I see it as something that comes to you individually, especially since faith is strengthened by testimonies.

Believing in the unseen by seeing the unseen work. God has given us clear messages throughout time who He is, and what He is about. Faith is not just screaming with your hands over your ears and your eyes closed,"I BELIEVE IT!", but is instead looking around at the facts, and knowing that what you believe is true.

I would define my own faith as personal trust in Jesus Christ, based on a combination of experiential knowledge, interpersonal testimonies, and logical deduction.
