We just found out that we are expecting our third little one in November. We are very happy and I'm downright excited that we have been blessed again! Now, we will have three under three-years-old when this baby is born. I know we will probably get some comments, because this is our third and they are all so young. I'd like people to be happy for us, but that may be unrealistic. So, my question for all of you is how do you tell family and friends that you are expecting again? How do you deal with the negative comments? I'm a bit new to the whole quiverfull lifestyle, so I'd appreciate any advice! Thank you and God bless you all!

I just told people. But by the time we were up to #7, I told people "I have some WONDERFUL news! And you're GOING to be Happy for us! We're going to have another baby!" ;) And if they weren't happy, I threatened to hit them on the arm. lol

I just received this email from a friend who is expecting her 4th under 4 years old. I thought it was great:

Friends & Family,

Just a quick note to let everyone know that we have another baby on the way! J Baby (Last Name) #4 is due to arrive August 17th. Yes, it WAS planned. Yes, we are thrilled. No, this won’t be the last. There’s just nothing like the joy children bring. We love this parenting thing way more than we ever dreamed we would! J

Hope that helps. We are trying for #3 and I've been thinking about the same sort of thing for when we do conceive. Congratulations, and I agree with what someone said, It's YOUR reaction that matters the most. Don't let anyone steal your joy. And if they try, ask them not to (as sweetly as possible)!

 That's a GREAT email! I might have to file that away for later use, if you don't mind.

Dealing with negativity has always been a tough thing for me- and this is just our first! Still, I'm used to hearing "Oh... was it planned?"

Honestly, I would just smile and say, "We have been so blessed, children truly are a gift from God!"

A bit of advice from a friend of ours who is pregnant with number 7... In response to the question, "Don't you know what causes that?", simply reply, "Yes, and we LOVE it!" ;)

God bless you! Congratulations on your newest blessing.

:D At the "yes and we love it" comment.

I just found out yesterday that DH and I are pregnant with our second. We told a few people, one of whom said "Congratulations!" with a big hug, before asking whether it was planned. Yes, it was, thankyou. I think we just shocked everyone because we're in the middle of relocating and packing - it was the last thing from everyone's mind (except ours!) :)

Awww, you're not too young for 3! Take a look at my stat above! :D

Yep, I'm only 24 and I have three! Ages 7, 4 1/2, and 9 months. And we even had 26 months of infertility in there! Otherwise I would've been 22 with 3 kids!

We did get some comments, but not too many as most people knew we had struggled to conceive this last time. I just can't wait til we have our 4th! :D
