how do u feel when u worship God

I've learned alot about worship in the last 5 years, so I suppose I could post a lot on here and tell you how worship is a lifestyle not a music style, but I'll skip all that jazz and just go to the core of it. When I worship God, I feel complete, becuz that's what I have been created to do.

hm worshiping is FUN!! i love to worship God he put me on this beautiful but filthy earth so all i can think to do is pray,disciple and worship!! when i worship i feel at peace i feel like God is surrounding me and helping me to be in worship mode you kno? lol that kinda sounded corny but its true! when i worship i feel like i can do anything... i just love lifting up his name!!

I take it you mean worshipping through music, because this is in the music forum. So--I feel fulfilled. A lot like what swingnscream said. God is so, so, so awesome, mighty, powerful, holy--the purest, best thing we can do as humans is to praise Him. It's what we're made for.

I realized that worship isnt about us feeling.. its more about giving glory to God. Most of the emotions that come through Worship and praise is probably the music and how its driving the emotions.

Of course we may feel some real things sent by God, but i dont let my emotions get in the way of worshiping him, cause honestly, if the emotions through the praise is what drove me, i would be outa gas, cause to tell the truth... our worship is dead boring.

I'm impressed by your insight at such a young age Jynx. Emotionalism and worship are not the same thing. We should not praise God because of the way it makes us feel, but because we are called to do so. For if we do not, even the rocks and stones will cry out to Him.

But that doesn't mean that praising God can't make you happy!

I feel God moving in and through me. It's a different, yet wonderful feeling. I have never understood it fully, but I feel complete. It's a great thing! I love music, and to be able to praise God through that is such an awesome feeling. I wish I could feel it constantly...

I love to worship God. Just to feel the presence of the GREAT ALMIGHTY, to be in unity with him says it all... Thats when I feel I don't have a care in the world and its like he has me lifted up in his arms saying " Now you don't have to worry about anything because your in my hands".) Worshipping God makes you feel the most Whole Complete Fulfilled Happy Blest person you could be. It rises above my self desires, above my hobbies and church l;ife, my work and my leisure. Worship is a taste of heaven, it goes behond "fun" and becomes a face to the floor experience, overewhelmed as waves of the sea rolling over you. Its hearing and seeing no one else but Jesus. Its the cure for all sadness and sorrow (while we worship) and its the best part of my life. The more you give to Jesus the more you experience Him. the longer you spend alonewith Him the more He fulfills your life. Worship is what life is about. Put other things 1st and the fire goes dull.

When I lose myself in worship, I just feel like I'm fulfilling a destiny. It feels like the most natural thing in the world to be doing - because we were created to worship God. I feel as though I'm getting a taste of heaven, and we all need that at times, to remind us of what is to come. And I feel closer to God too... and more open to hearing His voice and more open to His leading.

Worship is awesome! Not only does God love it and rejoice in it, the act of worship is edifying to ourselves too.

Only God could have 'created' such a powerful act.

i often feel a warmth surrounding me and his anointing falling down on me. often i tremble when the Holy Spirit is filling me up..i feel full, no longer empty...full of love, compassion, and a new song is released unto me...into my heart. yes i feel His love for me...its a wonderful feeling. id rather live for one hour in worship than 10 million without.

When I think about worship, I think about Romans 12:1.

But normally if you are asking about worship service on Sundays. I have a lot of feelings.
-Sometimes I feel like screaming and running all over the congregation, but I guess I'll start freaking people out. LoL.
-Sometimes I stand there and I can't stop smiling.
-Sometimes I can't seem to say or sing a thing. I can't like nothing can come out of my mouth.
-Sometimes, I'm down on my knees sobbing and can't stop. One time I couldn't stop crying that I missed like half the sermon because I was trying to calm down.

I guess it depends on what the Holy Spirit is telling me. God has reveal so many things to me during my worship time. I sometimes feel like I"m in another world. Like I'm home and not on this earth. Like there's really no one standing next to me (even though there is). I just wish that our Lord would be blessed everytime we worship him.

Don't forget that worship is not for us. It's not to bless us, but to bless God. It's not about us. It's all for God. For his pleasure, for him to enjoy, not for us to enjoy, and for his pleasing.

But yes, it is nice that everyone is in unison. I pray that all Christians may be the same mind and the same faith in Christ Jesus

Aw man, the feeling I get is awsome I can recall many times where on Sundays my parents would wake me up and I would be so worn out and tired from the entire week and it really revives me physically and spiritually. I remember last year when I was in 12th grade and things were really looking down for me as to if I would pass or not so I would be up so late the night before, that I did not feel like going. But when I get in church and start worshiping God.... he begins to really to do great things at the very instant I start. All my worries and pains go away and he gives me enregy beyond what I have ever felt. It is also durring that time that I can hear him talking to me the most! Not just in church but whenever I yeild to glorify him he begins to tell me things that I would not normally hear throughout my day. It was last year that I truely learned the power in praise and worship and do so every chance I get now..... BTW I did graduate and I have him to thank. He gave me that boost that I needed when the world beat me down. I also love doing it for him, I get joy in knowing that I am pleasing God and do all that I can to do so. I know that it is meant for him and I try my best to keep focused on him when I worship him as I said I make it my duty to please God.

It's unexplainable! Sometimes, I can't control my movement. I dance and jump and lift my hands and everything! I love God so much, it's amazing just to be near him!
