Four months ago I decided that the way I was living my life just wasn't working out. I had found out that I had OCD, and I was trying to get over a life ruled by sexual immorality. It has been hard trying to keep God first but very recently I realized that I am losing the motivation to keep God first. Because I have OCD I am usaully finding something to do that keeps my mind off of whatever I am afraid of, this usually meant I would spend hours watching YouTube, reading comic books, and playing video games. Two weeks ago, I noticed that I wasn't keeping God first like I was weeks proior. "I need to read my Bible... right after this video/level/or comic/ etc." this was the same scenario every day. I am trying to keep God first in my life but I am constantly thinking "I'm bored, I think I'll just watch a video or read a comic book" and I guess I just don't know how I can keep God first without giving into these temptations. I also wanted to ask, does keeping God first mean I can't read comic books or watch videos on YouTube? I'm just curious. Thanks
I couldn't get anywhere studying the bible, until I started the NIV bible, and now I've got a MP3 player that only has the bible on it, I listen to it about 2 to 4 hours a day, walking, going to a coffee shop, and also here are some bible verses that talk about studying the bible, I hope they can help you.
